Canadians have a higher life expectancy. That's how you judge healthcare systems. What's your measure?

Wrong.

One metric is survival of patients for most common diseases, like heart disease, cancers, etc.
Life expectancy as calculated by WHO is very misleading and has little to do with actual health of the individual populace.

It's pointless to argue with this guy. He is clearly only interested in trolling and pointing out exceptions as proof that the rule is incorrect, which is flawed logic.

You rarely hear people argue that the American health care system is perfect as it is currently or that the entire Canadian health care system has no good qualities.

It is indisputable that the American health care system is vastly more innovative than that of Canada. It is indisputable that wait times are longer in Canada. It is indisputable that Canadians are far more likely to seek a procedure in the US than the reverse. However, that being said there are certainly good providers in Canada and some good qualities to their health care model.

But, that doesn't mean that we have to entirely scrap our past/current model in favor of a government health care monopoly. That's like saying that because capitalism has a few blind spots, we should scrap it in favor of socialism (an argument people make all the time.)

Unreal.

Gets destroyed in his thread, ducks out, and decides to come back with that.

He’s about as prepared as the guest who thought David Webb was white.

Once again, you've engaged here without a tenable understanding of the facts. It seems to be a habit. When the topic is medicine though, and you claim some background in the field, that is just sad.
