This is very interesting. I thought conservatives and Liberatards said Canada's healthcare was awful with long waiting lists.

I guess he likes how Canadians live longer than us and pay less for healthcare as measured by spending on healthcare as a percentage of GDP.

Culture, demographics, violence don't play a role in that, do they?

Nice details.

It might be for a procedure not approved by the FDA

Yes but most of its funding comes from the government. So most of its revenue comes from the government.

"While Shouldice Hernia Hospital is privately owned — like many Canadian hospitals — it receives a majority of its funding from the Ontario government and accepts the Ontario’s Hospital Insurance Plan."

Maybe it's a procedure that isn't approved in the US?

You would think that Rand Paul of all people would live by his principles. I guess he believes that Canada has superior health care.

Liberatards?

That's almost as weak as thinking you're winning political points by thinking that an American going to a private Canadian hospital is somehow indicative of an argument in favor of the Canadian healthcare system.

The reason Canadians have average life spans longer than us is because the closest thing they have to culcha and illegals is eskimos

That gets most of its funding from the Ontario Government. Most hospitals are private but they government acts as the insurance company.

Most Canadian hospitals are privately owned. This hospital is privately owned they get most of its revenue from the Ontario Government. They accept Ontario insurance and if you read the article they gets most of its funding from the government. Plus you would think Rand Paul would practice what he preaches. I guess he can't find healthcare in the US to suit his needs.

I’ve read that he is going to Canada to make it more expensive for the lawsuit against his neighbor. The surgery is related to the injury from the assault. Don’t know if there is any truth to it, but I like the idea.

The idea that Rand Paul would go to Canada for surgery just to do this is pretty pathetic.
