If CA was a red state, they wouldn't need FEMA money for wildfires that could be prevented by measures utilized BY RED STATES.

Coming from a man who said last night “When I took the oath of office, I swore to protect our country. And that is what I will always do so help me God.”

You could eliminate a lot of fires with if Cali liberals would people people over ideology.

Good. People who live in flood zones have had their premiums hiked with 250k limits on the payout regardless of the value of the home. Mismanagement of your forests with annual appeals for large amounts of money to deal with the consequences is worse because it is deliberate malfeasance.

Petulance is not an admirable trait in POTUS
This amounts to a breach of his oath of office.

Per Robert Maguire:
quote:
As has been explained on numerous occasions, the California fires were not forest fires. They happened in areas where communities are close to undeveloped areas, not in vacant forests, which is why entire neighborhoods, cities and family livelihoods were destroyed.
quote:NY Times Fact Check
Not only that, most of California's forests are federally held. Just 3 percent are actually owned by the state of California.
quote:
It's absolutely amazing that the President of the United States continues to be this misinformed about a major disaster in the country's most populous state and that he intends to punish victims for his own willful ignorance.

Maybe he will force Cali to finally secede

I like how Trump doesn’t mess around, but not the biggest fan of this one. Is this just for fires or earth quakes too? Rather than this, I would prefer that there be no road funds or state infrastructure funds until the wall is built.
THis /\
I am not a fan of "optics" in decision making - but this one has 'egg on face' smeared all over it. There is no way to remove the impact of images dealing with burning homes and displaced families - it is a soft ball lobbed up for the DEM/MSM/Intertainment cartel to exploit.
I would take away all funds that have to do with any other support to state or local administration

He should at least be concerned that he might piss off the new House minority leader who he needs to keep the caucus together through this shutdown. McCarthy's district wasn't the worst hit district but San Joaquin valley had fires.
Where has McCarthy been since the Midterm elections? Have you seen him? I'll tell you who I have seen and that is Steve Scalise who is all over the news. Trump is kicking himself right now for pushing McCarthy over Scalise!

so you think Louisiana should loose it FEMA money also then? Because we have been building homes in flood zones for 60yrs here and they flood and we just rebuild and wait for the next flood.
Just think of all the free Govt handouts Louisiana received over the years from Katrina, Gustav, Flood 2016.
