The Trump campaign chairman was sharing campaign polling data with a Russian intelligence asset in the midst of the campaign.

That’s your story from the Manafort filing (since they messed up the redactions).

Depends. What was the data? Most of it ends up public anyhow. Was there something secret about it?

To what end? Did he know it was a Russian intel asset?

So everyone knew she was Russian intel?

This polling data... is it illegal to share it?

I eagerly await your responses.

I'd call it smoke but don't particularly care much

Not enough info to have an opinion.

The first paragraph said the Russian was “linked” to Russian Intelligence.

When I see “linked,” my bullshite radar pegs to the right. That word is often used in dishonest reporting by both sides. “Linked” could mean literally anything.

“Linked” could mean that a guy that serviced the Russian’s car 6 years ago has an ex girlfriend that dated a guy who was in Russian Intelligence.

It’s a bullshite word.

Also, the Russian is an “alleged” spy.

Shady reporting.

Not gonna bite.

What bothers me is selling our uranium for contributions to the clinton foundation to our chief enemy in the nuclear arms foreign policy department.... and nothing happening to the ones in charge of this.

At this point, I would not care if Trump told the nation, on live TV, that he did collude with the Russians just to piss you libtards off...

When I see HRC go to jail for one thing...anything in her list of crimes, I will care.

Polling data? How about a list of 20 assets in China that were killed bc of her.

It's almost as if Manafort and Trump were...colluding...with Russia to try and win a federal election.

Someone should let the DOJ know, so they can assign a special counsel!

Steele? Weiner? The FISA Judge? Papadopoulos? Comey? Stone? Hillary? Podesta? Zuckerberg? All were Russian assets in one way or another. WTF is the reference to?

Are you bothered by Google, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and every other site doing this on an everyday basis for millions of people?

They literally announce they are collecting data to sell, Google has made a fortune selling millions of data points to everyone from foreign interests to local polling groups.

If this is the "gotcha" its really hard to care. It has nothing to do with being a Trump supporter, everything to do with being a miniscule piece of that data in a small pond compared to what websites already do.

This got Manafort into deep doodoo with the investigation.
quote:

Defense lawyers filed the court document in response to allegations by Mueller that Manafort shared the information with alleged Russian spy Konstantin Kilimnik. Though key passages detailing the exact allegations were blacked out, news organizations, including CNBC and The Washington Post, were able to read the redacted sentences by copying and pasting the entire document into a word processing program.

His lawyers later refiled the documents, correcting the error.

Mueller said Manafort broke his plea deal by lying to prosecutors about his dealings with Russians, in particular Kilimnik, who worked for Manafort's consulting firm. Prosecutors said Manafort and Kilimnik also discussed a possible peace plan in Ukraine.

There is speculation he will say he forgot.
