Being that they made it a point to make mock the idea when Ford did it 10 years ago.

Don't deploy it with a ball mount in the trailer hitch.

What a weird marketing approach. We cant refute the actual usefulness of a step to climb into the bed, but we can try to shame men into not wanting to use them.

"Hey pussy! You might want to crawl back up those steps and look for your balls. Burn!!"

Ford’s step is a complex contraption.

Would be funny if GM comes out with aluminum body trucks too after talking shite about them for years in their marketing.

The real shock in that ad is that just 10 years ago MSRP was 20k.

I think the Ford man step is gimmiky and stupid.

The bumper step is both more simple and easier to use.

The tailgate in the Denali is a bit more than a step. It was also completely stupid of Ford to ever use an aluminum bed.

Doesn't make Ford's man step any less stupid.

Reminds me of Bud Light's "Don't fruit the beer" Manlaw commercial. Then they come out with this a while later:

That commercial ten years ago was foul.

Howie Long belittling some guy about leaving his "man step" up.

10 years ago it wasn’t popular as it is today for men to be pussies. GM is just hopping on the bandwagon.

My dad and I watched this commercial last night and asked each other when is the last time you actually got into the bed of your truck. Both feet standing up in the bed of your truck. I cant remember, so why do I need a step to make it easier to do so. I have a GMC with the step bumper and that's all you really need.

If you can’t step onto the bumper to get into your truckbed...don’t buy a friggin truck. This shite is getting ridiculous.

The only time I've used my step down tailgate is when I show people that I have a step down tailgate

They should spend less on advertising and more on reliable autos

Had a Chevy with bumper steps and really liked the feature, but in a 3/4 or 1 ton they are just about useless. Way too high.

Now I used to think the ford step was for old men until I got my f250 then I realized how nice they are...a couple of seconds to set up, a couple of seconds to stow. If tailgate is up I just step on bumper at the license plate.

Whoever said they almost never get all the way in the bed and don’t see why people do is the reason trucks cost so much. Getting a truck just to be “cool”.
