Although the NFL’s TV ratings haven’t rebounded to 2015 levels, the widespread talk that the league was spiraling downward no longer appears to be the case. The NFL remains the most popular programming on American television, and it was more popular this season than last season.

This is one example of the snark I have been seeing by sports "reporters" trying to spike the football in the faces of those who were championing the falling ratings of the NFL. It's funny, because these libtards are intentionally leaving out the one factor that has both caused the decline and now rise of its ratings and general popularity

National Anthem Protests

Do they think it is strictly a coincidence that ratings were tanking during the activity and promotion of these stupid, selfish protests? They tried to claim it was.

Do they think it is also a coincidence that ratings are spiking as we hear no more about protests as players have stopped and the promoting of it has disappeared? Their lack of addressing this elephant in the room sure does suggest this.

The truth here is that America has won, and the people have made it clear that disrespecting the flag and turning an American pastime into a political shitshow will not be tolerated.

Right wing outrage won’t determine the success or failure of a sports league.

It absolutely could. Why do you think the NFL changed its policy?

The reporters are either dumb or doing their best SJW victimhood to falsely proclaim they won the kneeling battle.

When in fact, the NFL stopped showing kneeling during the national anthems and ignored the jackasses and all of a sudden ratings get back to there normal rate.

Roger Goodell and the owners know the reasons ratings are back. But fake news will definitely try and score this as a win for the underdog kneelers.

Being a patriot is not exclusive to the right wing.
Respecting the flag is not exclusive either.

Please elaborate.

U seen the stock market lately?

I have, quite a bit actually, between FED policy projections outlined in their latest meeting minutes and the obvious, long over due (no pun intended) municipality debt issue catching up to China coupled with the threat of sub 7% GDP growth (not to mention the several command economy policies that have failed to rally/develop the middle class) there's real reasons for concern. There has been for quite some time.

Throw in that that ECB and BOJ are rumored to be considering tightening policies and you've got a spooked market. It should have been for a long time.

Begin to consider record high stock buy backs are starting to see diminished returns, uncertain political issues in the US and abroad, the international (and US) housing market issues starting to spiral...you've got a market prime for a correction. It should have correct long before this.

But again, armchair internet wise one, please help me see the light. Please tell me how the stock market is a direct representation of the overall health of the US economy and no other factors could possibly influence it or have possibly pushed it higher into a bubble in need of correction.

Why is this news?

It certainly shouldn't be of any concern for political discussion.
