Other than The Bible of course.
I’ve read Mere Christianity and loved it.
Currently read “Morning and Evening” by Spurgeon daily.
Looking for books along those lines. (Not Christian fiction) let me know if you guys have any good recommendations.

Anything by St. Augustine. You can start with "City of God" and then move on the "Confessions."

The Fullfilment of All Desire impacted me like no other book I've ever read. Just go to Amazon and read the reviews. It's literally life changing. It's not a T.D. Jakes pop Christianity type book. It's based on the teachings of some of Christianity's most notable figures. It's the kind of book that makes you pause 2-3 times a page to just take in what you just read.

Assuming you are male haha.
Book tackles masculinity from the Christian lense. It was written in 2001 but with the way todays culture is constantly attacking manhood and redefining gender it’s very relevant

Wild at Heart is one of my favorite books
Wanted to add, I am currently reading In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day by Mark Batterson. It’s decent

I enjoyed The Shack by William Young. It gave an interesting viewpoint on how we view God.
The Case for Christ by Lee Strobel was a good one.
Killing Jesus by Bill O'Reilly
I would definitely second Wild At Heart.

This one definitely touches in on Christianty but goes much deeper. Highly recommended.
ETA - I didnt read any posts before posting my suggestion so sorry for the replication. Im actually going to the Band of Brothers Boot Camp in Tyler Texas this April. Looking forward to it.
quote:
Every man was once a boy. And every little has dreams, big dreams, dreams of being the hero, of beating the bad guys, of doing daring feats and rescuing the damsel in distress. Every little girl has dreams, too: of being rescued by her prince and swept up into a great adventure, knowing that she is the beauty. But what happens to those dreams when we grow up? Walk into most churches, have a look around, and ask yourself: What is a Christian man? Without listening to what is said, look at what you find there. Most Christian men are . . . bored. John Eldredge revises and updates his best-selling, renowned Christian classic, Wild at Heart, and in it invites men to recover their masculine heart, defined in the image of a passionate God. And he invites women to discover the secret of a man’s soul and to delight in the strength and wildness men were created to offer

I recommend Against Heresies by St. Irenaeus of Lyon. The tome was written in about AD 180 and gives amazing as well as interesting insight into what the early church was like.

Just now starting this tonight. I’ve heard great things.

Just wrapped this one up on my flight to DFW on Wed. I thought this was a really intriguing write up of Jesus’ story. I haven’t read too many books on Christianity and this one has me hooked and eager to learn more, especially from a historical context.
Would love to hear takes on Killing Jesus.
