Youtube trailer
anybody else excited for it? I dont know when season 5 premieres but this movie can definitely hold me over. This seems to be sort of like the San Junipero episode with the retro feel to it.

Apparently I can't watch on my Apple Tv.
I guess I have to watch on my phone and mirror it.
ETA: this doesn't work either

I finished it and it is kinda hard to form an opinion on it.
Spoiler free notes, it will basically direct you back to certain choices after an ending that will allow you to view most/all of the endings.
Doing it this way makes it pretty hard to say whether it is good or not. There are certain story arcs of it that I really enjoyed and there are a few tangents that felt kinda cheesy.
Spoiler alert*******
The ending where he kills Colin and Colin's daughter goes on to redo the game in present day as the Netflix episode is my favorite. The concept that he knows he is being controlled and free will is not his own is interesting and it really works the best with the interactive features of this episode.
The ending where you try to explain Netflix to him and they karate fight each other is dumb but made me lol.
The ending where you go back in time to get the bunny and go on to die with your mom on the train is a direct rip on butterfly effect and abandons the while PAC and free will aspect of the story.
Overall, interesting concept and way to try something new, but as it does take away from the viewing experience. 6/10.
Not in the top half of black Mirror imo.

I search and didn't find but does anyone know when the whole season 5 premiers?

I found the movie to be an interesting concept, a sometimes inventive concept, a sometimes cheesy concept, at times it seemed written and produced strictly for the purpose of utilizing the choice/selection "gimmick".
The bigger question for me is whether this will be any sort of a game changer for the entertainment industry. Will this prompt any producers to consider developing a genre of audience involvement/direction of media experiences? I could see others building out of this idea and going potentially further with it. but will anyone or will this be more of a one and done experiment?
It sort of begs the question whether one day down the line the gaming and tv/movie industries will fully morph into a singular product.

Netflix has been doing it for a while with some of their in house cartoons

I'm sure others will try, but I doubt it will become a mainstream technique.
It's just an attempt at making a telltale game movie.
It was ok in this case, but the story was built around the false sense of choice and free will so it is kinda fitting in this episode.

Reminds me of that live action computer game, Silent Steel. Anyone else remember that game?
But back to the show: is there a definitive list of all the possible outcomes?
And I found it interesting the way a scene slightly changed when you had to go back and redo it.

Minecraft story mode is on Netflix, the entire game.
So this is becoming a thing slowly

I ended up in a jail cell watching a review of my game getting 2.5 stars.

Your Apple TV doesnt have the latest streaming update. I ran into the same issue with my Amazon Tvbox .

I’m in the middle of watching it and I think the story is cool but the choose your own adventure shite sucks

Wtf. Installed the beta but still can play this in an Apple TV

Pretty underwhelming overall. The choose your own gimmick was neat at first but became annoying after having to backtrack through several storylines. The story had potential and the twist was kind of cool, but the ending wasn’t satisfying.
