Interesting Trade

Niko, Hill, Moore, Clark and a 1st to Washington, Porter, Morris, Satoransky to Pels. I'd like to think we can pull that off. Use Wes instead of Moore if possible.

Here's a terrible trade idea.
Niko to Portland for Aminu and Myers Leonard.
Solo/Wesley/1st to Atlanta for Lin/Bembry.

Payton/Lin/Frazier
Jrue/Moore
Aminu/Bembry/Miller
Randle/Leonard/Diallo
AD

Gives you 3 PG's, 4 wings, 4 bigs, and Aminu who can play the 3 or 4. We should......should be a better defensive team with this move.

Leonard essentially becomes Solo contract wise, you get two players who can contribute this year in Aminu/Lin, and your "1st round pick" Bembry for next year.

Really what this team needs is a play maker to play with Jrue. Really doesn't matter what position he plays, as long as it's the 1, 2 or 3, but he needs someone else to share the burden of closing games out with the ball in their hands since AD won't do it. Goran Dragic would be a nice get for that role.
Niko/Solo/Okafor for Dragic/JamesJohnson would get Miami out the tax this year and save them a ton next year. Johnson's contract really sucks, but he is at least a good defender. Any move that allows us to get better this year without giving up our 1st is a big win. There's also something weird about Johnson's contract when you look it up. he's got a player option for 2020, but he was only guaranteed money for this year and next. Makes it seem like even if he opts in, it isn't guaranteed.

Does anyone know if TJ Warren can defend SF's?

He can, our problems run deeper than a single SF though, we lack depth and when we have a night missing 3 key guys like Payton, Moore and Niko, nobody else is able to step up because they are too tired from the night before.

Also, why does it seem like we have a B2B every week? I thought they reduced the amount of b2b's this year?

That's a terrible trade. The Bucks just dumped $18M in 2019-2020 salary for a 1st and 2nd in getting back a useful George Hill. Replacing Hillw ith Ariza does nothing to change the course of this franchise, no chance I give up a 1st for him.

I think we could do Bender, Warren and
Daniel's for Solo, Johnson, Clark and a 2019 first.

I'm not sure if Bender is really a rim protector though.

With how close all the teams are I don't see waiting until the deadline to make adjustments.

But with a healthy team of:

Payton/Frazier/Jackson
Holiday/Moore/Daniels
Warren/Miller/Williams
Randle/Mirotic/Diallo
Davis/Bender/Okafor

That's an 8 man deep team in the playoffs.

I don't really think we should waste a trade on a rim protector, those can be acquired through the buyout market, or we could always bring back Emeka (not sure if hes on Phillys roster still)

Why do you guys torture yourselves? We aren’t making any type of trade like this. AD gone by the end of next year.

A first round pick for a 33 year old, expiring Ariza?

Even though they’d be able to sign him again if they wanted to, that’s a terrible deal. They can do much better.

They could probably get Ariza and keep their 1st, tbh.

I would love the trade to Was, gives us a legit starting SF and a good second PG. Those are definitely our 2 glaring needs.

Is Morris a SF, PF, or in between?

Morris is a pure PF, he would be a low level replacement for Niko.

Would be nice if we could send it Randle instead of Niko. We need all the spacing we can get.

Randle is more important to us right now than Niko is. After seeing Randle play these last 10 games or so, we need to do everything we can to keep him.

Yeah would rather Randle at this point. If Niko was 25, it would be different.
