Byrd has got to be the worst Jersey choice in history

It really is. I was very exited about Byrd joining the Saints and thought he would ball out after his 3 pro bowl and 2 second team all pro selections. But he didn’t ball out and he was awful. Now I have a sweet black ‘31’ Saints jersey with a terrible name on the back. Any ideas of what to do with it?

First, I wish to be clear that I'm not one of those anti-jersey jihadists. But this is one reason, I wear team colors or branded shirts other than jerseys. People move on and you're stuck with a former player on your back.

Jeremy Shockey was instrumental in the Saints only Super Bowl season and subsequent victory.

His jersey should get a pass on this discussion.

I will wear my white #22 Tracy Porter Super Bowl jersey until they pry it from my cold, dead hands.

I've never married or had kids so that jersey represents the single happiest and most glorious moment of my entire life.

Shockey played with us for three years, which is close to the average career length of an NFL player anyway. He contributed directly to us winning a Super Bowl by scoring a TD in the game. He loved the city too.

Sproles is another guy that was here three years and was part of probably our best team ever. He was really fun to watch in our offense.

I still wear my Sproles and PT jersey. If you don't like it, buy me a new one otherwise keep it shut.

I'm happy to be "stuck" with my Jackson, Colston and McAllister jerseys. (And in due time, Brees as well. )

Good point, Mountain Tiger. If you're going with guys like that, you're likely to have a "throwback" jersey. I love seeing the City Champ's jersey around the Dome to this day. But you also have players like Shockey and Byrd--not to mention Sharper that don't quite reach that level.

Great game great win. However, any Saints fan who is wearing a Jeremy Shockey jersey or a Darren Sproles jersey needs to check themselves. If you want to wear a throwback Manning jersey, I get it. But wearing these transient players just makes you look cheap. Spend a dollar, get a jersey from a player from this decade.

This is the exact type of thing that bitch would post. What kind of man goes to a game and then complains on a sports forum about what other men were wearing? The bitch kind. Don't be a bitch dude.

It's entirely possible that I have a Stallworth jersey somewhere.
