He was committed to Sam Petito and still is, but we definitely chased him. He was thinking hard about LSU at the end.
As far as Carter goes, we signed a lot of good DBs in his class. We wanted to wait til we saw him at camp to offer which ended up being kind of a dumb choice because I think it took all of 10 minutes for us to be like ok this guy can play for us

He was the number 9 corner in the nation. Would’ve been the 3rd best rated out of 6 if he joined our DB class. We only would’ve had Fulton and Savion Smith ahead of him
He was and still is a damn good DB. Probably fights with Stingley for a starting spot outside at LSU next year, which I don’t think he’s better than Stingley will be next year. Don’t think he’s any better than Vincent at the nickle, so not a huge miss by any means.

I know how much you guys love this dumb conspiracy theory, but the fact is that of all the players the barber has taken on the camp circuit over the years (Clemson, FSU, and schools all over the southeast), exactly ONE has gone to UA.

Did you not see the picture of his shop? Bama crap everywhere. And 1 Georgia sticker that I am assuming is from when Devonta Smith was committed to Georgia. Lol also I'm not sure if he brought Shyheim to camps there or not, but they sure looked to have a pretty tight relationship on the sidelines today. So that could be 2 recruits (that LSU went after) that went to Bama. By the way the only 2 in several years from the North end of Tangi

It was more then devonte smith. He drove shyheim carter back and forth his senior year. He tried to get kelvin Joseph to go there. I always wondered why a barber from amite was worried about getting a kid from scotlandville and keep pushing him to go out of state instead of the home town school. frick that dude.

If you read the lengthy article about him posted a while back on this very board, you'd know that that's only in one area. LSU fans hate him because he has stuff from multiple schools but not LSU.
I'm not sure what you guys did to cross him, but he has a lot of influence there and you're on his bad side somehow.

I don't think he was involved with Shyheim (at least, I haven't read about it if he was), and LSU wasn't really interested in him, anyway. I don't think he's very involved with Sopsher, either. Sopsher's dad is handling him. I'm pretty sure he's a "mentor" to Devonta Lee, though, who very much wanted to be in Bama's class, but didn't have a spot at the time. By all indications, he will be at LSU. Your theory just doesn't hold water.

He brought shyhiem carter to a LSU football camp wearing Bama shorts. The LSU coaches told him he had to change his shorts or go back home.
