Good for them. Can they build a loop?
First Baton Rouge will need to study how they fixed this so fast.

Construction workers rebuilt the ramp that was significantly damaged during a magnitude 7.0 earthquake.

MrSmith the turnover at the DOTD has been so bad the last 10 years, so much knowledge and common sense has been lost due to retirement or pay in the private sector ( or bad moral!). I agree most of the Techs these days just don't know as much as they should, and I'm not sure how that gap can be bridged. Training departments can only do so much. The useful knowledge was passed on from the older experienced guys. That just doesn't happen anymore.
I know a guy that just retired 40+ years in, he can still tell you details on jobs from 30 years ago. Hard to replace that.

take the DOTD out of the picture, and things would be done in half the time, and cost.....
They have their stupid department name in the acronym twice. What else should we expect besides FUBARs?
Department Of Transportation Department. How stupid is that?

Yea, that was my point. The old dudes that KNOW what the hell is going on, are gone.
The Tech 5's that are there now are fricking clowns. Yet, they "thrive" on shutting a job down.....usually by their incompetence.
I know.....I been walking this walk for 35 years...

Holy crap the amount of idiots on here saying it's not the same location. The pictures are taken from different perspectives. One picture if facing the interchange from the interstate (south, west, whatever). The other picture is facing the interstate from the interchange (the entire opposite direction). How stupid are you all, you think this is some made up story by the government of Alaska? Are they trying to get more people to move up there or something? Think people and stop reacting so quickly.

What in the Louisiana is going on with the I-10 through again project? Especially the Henderson exit. They have been working on it forever.

A couple of years ago, Kenner had a sinkhole develop at the intersection of Williams and Vets which is one of the busiest intersections in the metro area. It took a couple of days to repair
Also a couple of years ago, New Orleans had a sinkhole develop on Canal Street by the river, it took 46 fricking days to repair

I will say they do have a much butter substrate to build on, though.

I usually edit when someone points out those mistakes but that response was too funny for me to edit. Spot on.
