Lindsey Graham accused Pompeo and Mattis of covering up the Khashoggi murder today

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) spoke to reporters after a briefing with CIA Director Gina Haspel about intelligence gathered on the death of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
on Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman:
"I think he is crazy. I think he is dangerous."
"The brutality of this murder is beyond my sharing it with you. It was one of the most brutal acts one could imagine, and it says a lot about him as a person, and everybody is watching us."
on Pompeo and Mattis denying that MBS was complicit so as not to risk American arm sales to Saudi Arabia:
"Secretary Pompeo and Mattis are following the lead of the president, there's not a smoking gun theres a smoking saw. You have to be willfully blind not to come to the conclusion that this was organized and orchestrated by people under the command of MBS ... It is zero chance, ZERO, that this happened in such an organized fashion without the Crown Prince."
"As to Pompeo and Mattis; I have great respect for them, I would imagine that if they were in a Democratic administration, I would be all over them for being in the pocket of Saudi Arabia, but since I have such respect for them, I would assume they are being good soldiers ... I would really question someones judgement if they couldn't figure this out ... I think the reason they don't draw the conclusion that he's complicit is because the administration doesn't want to go down that road, not because there's not evidence to suggest he's complicit."

Graham made some very strong and poignant comments today on Martha McCallum’s show.
The world is watching.
The Middle East especially.
China especially.
Russia especially.
We have to get this right and we have to make it a reminder that America will never stand for this type of behavior.
Don’t test us.
Let’s it slide and it opens the door for more.

Was not a USA citizen and did not happen on US soil, so why should I or any other American give a rats arse. People are killed everyday in every Country, some at the behest of governments, so why does this guy get special attention?
This is the opposite of not seeing the forest for the trees. This is more seeing the pine needle as being the forest.

So the us has to get involved in every country that has some one clipped?
He wasn't one of ours.
Why can't we just mind our own business.

Maybe you should tell that to most of the people on this board who are using groupthink to be okay with it. If everybody agrees it doesn't matter then it just goes away. It's okay because Donald Trump says it's okay and the US had to sell a lot of weapons. so brutal regimes are now okay. Never mind that half these morons wanted us to go to war in Iraq to free them

There really needs to be a minimum post count to create a topic.
Applying Lindsey's logic and considering how many folks we've droned over the last decade and a half, it's a wonder moral outrage hasn't kept the rest of the world from dealing with us at all.
