Kirby has been at Georgia since 2016. In his second season he goes to a national champship and takes a shocking loss due to Tua's great play.

Does Georgia really have that much more talent than LSU stockpiled up over the years? I really dont think so.

I know Kirby has been a great recruiter but hes only been there for 3 years and he quickly resurrected the Georgia program

I really wanted Kirby a year before he left bama for uga. The guy had an oustanding resume and had run the best defense in college football year in and year out under Saban.

Meanwhile we hire CEO and you see what we get. Yes he is a good recruiter and yes he won a game more than I expected but hes just not an elite coach and never has been.

What other major college program would have considered him for this job and what elite coaches would have put Ensminger back at OC this past year?

You get a 9 win season but we cant score a single point on Alabama at home.

Bottom line is that if you want elite results you hire an elite coach with an amazing resume.

Hopefully CEO can hire a decent OC but you really have to question his judgement for going with Ensminger.

Is CEO really a highly intellectual coach that can do the little things, hire the right staff to bring us back to relevance and make us even competitive with Bama? So far it appears the answer is no

Yes we beat Georgia this year at home, i think they were over confident, we played harder and shocked them.

Does anyone think we beat them today? Not a chance

Does anyone really think O can replicate the kind of success Kirby has had at Georgia in just 3 season?

Oregeron does not compare to Kirby. Orgeron should not be the coach here and it’s crazy that our management thinks he’s the best guy for the job.

LSU really screwed up by not just pulling the plug in 2015

Worst decision ever

Kirby = CFP and NC appearance

Tom Herman = Conference championship appearance

Jimbo = beats coach O

Coach O = playing for coconut shrimp coupons at the outback bowl

As long as Ed Orgeron is the head coach at LSU, we are doing nothing but marking time.

Unfortunately, that also applies to Joe Alleva as Athletic Director.

Can’t get a bargain head coach and expect elite results

Orgeron very clearly out coached Kirby this year.

Say what you want about anything else.

The Atlanta area has more D1 prospects than the entire state of Louisiana for one. And those athletes are spread over more positions not just DB RB and d line like Louisiana.

Georgia lays in a much easier division. Their path to the SCCG is a walk in the park compared to the gauntlet LSU has to negotiate.

Kirby, Jimbo and Lincoln are prime reasons I don’t buy this whole “LSU isn’t where you get your first HC job” nonsense. frick that noise, if you’re a good coach, you’re a good coach. Taking a chance has clearly paid off for all of these programs.

I would be fine giving Aranda a shot if it were between that and losing him.

Kirby has a much easier path than LSU to both the SEC championship and the playoff

Smart has proven to be an excellent hire. Ga. certainly did very well.

But the year Richt left Ga. went 10-3 winning their bowl game. The Ga. program was stale, but they weren't bad. Smart found s decent foundation when he took over.

And yes it seems he was a better hire than O was and a better HC than Saban's other HC. I think that's obvious.

Now if we would have fired Les in 2015, could we have hired Smart? No, so it really doesn't matter. It's not like we chose O over Smart.

I think Smart had more talent when he started, and he'd out recruited us too. So yes he has more talent. I'm watching now and that's obvious.

But give our guys credit for beating them. They are a good team, but we had a good day and won. Make all the excuses for Smart, but we outplayed em and out coached em when it counted, the day the game was scheduled.

Smart looks to be a better coach than O, but it wasn't obvious when Smart took the job. He took s 10-3 team and went 8-5. Since then he's been very good.

ETA, if Smart blows this, he'll be right there with Les.

We beat UGA because of our opportunistic defense. Most of our points came on short fields. It's been like that for most if not all of the season. Our offense really struggles to sustain drives.
