They tried to crack the security codes on those nukes. They gave them up only when that failed.

It's called helping an ally not be invaded by a bully.
If only there was a union of European countries that could do that. Oh well. Let’s throw another trillion at a fight we shouldn’t be in.

I have a business in Ukraine, they are good people and would be a good pro-USA democracy if Russia stopped effin with them.

So what do you want us to do - sink Russian ships, drop a bomb on Moscow?

Grab a rifle and head to the front line then. The rest will be there soon

Thousands of hot Ukrainian women are headed to the US in the near future.

Last time we sent a destroyer into the Black Sea and it made a port call in Odessa and Russia stopped its aggressive action.

Feel free to buy a ticket to Kiev and start fighting alongside the Ukrainians. Or were you not referring to yourself when you used ‘we’?

We did what a civilized world does, we enacted sanctions then and should enact more sanctions. The world is fed up with pootin and his bullshite (except that fricktard trump). This will be interesting to see how bone spurs fricks this up.

I highly doubt Ukraine is stupid enough to declare war against Russia. None of the Europeans are going to come to their aid in any meaningful manner. They’ll use this as leverage to get more arms deals from the US and Europeans though.
They already have that. The Trump admins said last year it was open to more arms sales to Ukraine including atleast 2 and possible more OHP frigates. Ukraine got more money from the IMF and EU last week. So like I said cancel the arms sales to SA and sale them to Ukraine. Win-win for everyone not named Putin.

Link to this theory, not saying that the ship didn't show up in Odessa, but that didn't cause Russia to halt its offensive.

West of the Dniepper, sure, they don’t like Russia. And that becomes more and more true the further west you go. East of the Dniepper, it’s very different. People are very pro Russian.
I’m on my phone, but google Party of Regions and election map.
It will show you how divide the country is, and how strong those divisions are. The Donbas voted for the Party of Regions at a ratio of 9 to 1.
Voters in western Ukraine supported hard line anti-Russian candidates at a similar rate.
The country would probably be more functional if they split it in two.

Let me guess, the peace loving antiwar democrats want Trump to send our full military capabilities to Ukraine to start a war with Russia over something we should not at all be involved in and then spend the next 6 years bitching at him about the war they started?
and then if trump does send the military there to help the poli board trumpbots will support it because trump can do no wrong.

For the record, I don’t think the two are connected.
But let’s say we do that, how long would it take us to get there? Could we do so before the crisis ended?
And what happens if the Russians simply ignore our presence?
Wouldn’t we be forced to escalate further?

All of our efforts to strengthen Ukraine make war more likely.
The Ukrainians are fools, and they will attack the Donbas.
