offense is going to be better No Doubt. A lot depends on who stays and who goes on the defense. Hopefully just greedy and white

O is at his best when he has an aggressive mindset (see UGA) and he's at his worst when he's passive and playing not to lose (UF and A&M).

You nailed it.

So you don't think this team is better than last year's?

treading water at best

the biggest differences are our upset-loss (Troy v. Florida) was worse in 2017 and our upset-victory (Auburn v. UGA) was better in 2018

3 loss regular season and a mediocre bowl with a sliding offense isn't some major improvement

Bama will be the favorite for every thing that doesn’t mean we should concede, Auburn has won the west 3 times since Saban won his first title there in 2009.

Agreed. But the bar has been lowered, so Lester and the rest of the O minions can talk about progress.

literally the case with the OL expectations

btw, our OL was dominated last night due to coaching and scheme. TAMU would run stunts and dec had no clue. that's not a talent issue

our offense is a disaster and has regressed from Miles.

What concerns me more is that it seems to have regressed since week 1. After SLU we heard a lot about dropped passes well it’s week 12 and they are still dropping passes, who’s fault is that? And don’t give me the talent issue, we heard Miles classes were ranked high because all he recruited were DB and WR. These are 4-5* that for the most part recruited by everyone

i'm curious myself. i assume it's recruiting OL who are rated about the same as the OL who are currently labeled a disaster

There were questions if we could maintain recruiting level, and recruiting as a whole is in great shape.

We started 10 different OL this year. Yea, our OL was a disaster. 4 different LT started, 3 different RT. 8 different starting combinations.

We return all these guys minus Brumfield who has not played well. One thing we can all agree on is that we will have options next year. On top of all the guys returning, Kardell Thomas and Rosenthal, and hopefully Ed Ingram

The offense was a disaster and needs tweaking, if not a new OC all together. Still tho; we had all new starting skill players this year, including a QB who got here in June and a new OC. Couple that will all the OL shite and it was a shite show. We return just about everyone next year

lol...not gonna play this game.

But you’re perfectly ok with playing the “toss up games on the road to competent teams” game for the “2 losses”.

Nevermind the 2 “toss up” wins to bad auburn and Arkansas teams.

Real bastion of rational, unbiased thought you are.

when teams got film on what E was doing, it was literally over

hell, last night was our first real wrinkle and it was a fricking QB option-run

I see folks are blaming the Offense. Lol , Lol and Ha Ha . Offense scored 72 points .
It was the defense that SUCKED . BOTTOM LINE !!

This is as dumb as people comparing this game to big 12 shootouts. It was 7 OTs. Each team got 7 drives starting at the 25. The score is heavily inflated by this. It was 31 points in regulation.

this is not true, about the questions. the only thing O has shown he's good at is recruiting and that was the expectation

*ETA: and if we get a new OC it CANNOT be an excuse if we return our entire offense

My expectations are realistic for a program that was forced to fire its all time winningest coach, 2 years too late.

But yea such a dire situation should be corrected in 1 year. That is totally realistic.

Im not reading boxcar willie's post so forgive, but nowhere have i said we should abandon the notion that we should be competing with every team we play.

We lost that game 100% on officiating. And the Florida game had a critical bad 4th down spot that allowed them to score before half as well, changing the momentum of that game.

Come on man. At some point we gotta take responsibility for the L's. LSU had it's chances to win both those games and didn't do it.

You are 100% wrong buddy. People were saying he couldn't recruit after his 15th ranked class last year, or whatever it was.

of course not. There are no excuses even if we bring back E. Write it the frick down if you want
