But yea such a dire situation should be corrected in 1 year. That is totally realistic.

that was literally the selling point/rationale for O and not a guy who has more coaching chops

he was supposed to maintain our recruiting, be a CEO-type hiring good coordinators (and keeping Aranda), and his SOLE job as coach was to hire a good OC, get out of the way, and let him improve our offense (the thing Miles refused to do)

then when things were rocky (bad OC hire, friction with the OC, a blowout loss and a major upset), the PR machine changed the story to a rebuild. a rebuild makes NO SENSE WHATSOEVER with an Orgeron hire

People were saying he couldn't recruit after his 15th ranked class last year, or whatever it was.

i think (not an expert) it was more of a "he can't recruit *as well as Miles" and that's largely true

But you’re perfectly ok with playing the “toss up games on the road to competent teams” game for the “2 losses”.

what exactly do you disagree with regarding that statement? please be specific

Nevermind the 2 “toss up” wins to bad auburn and Arkansas teams.

Auburn is going bowling. ARK is 2-10.

You have a broad definition of "Bad".

In the Auburn/LSU series, the home team had won 16 of the last 18 games. But yes, lets sit here and pretend like its a given we dominate & win the game

and i think by and large that has happened.

With the thought that this roster had some glaring holes that needed to be fixed.

Find the balance between those 2 things & its been pretty par, slow.

It was never a rebuild but there were things that needed fixing. You don't fire your all time winningest coach otherwise. Certain position groups lacked depth & talent & you could argue that the culture overall had burnt out.

LSU finished Orgeron’s second regular season with the same record as his first.

jimbo is pulling in better recruits too. cheating or not. we still lost the game when we couldn't put em away.

jimbo is going to out recruit and out coach LSU.

LSU was not robbed... they had plenty of chances to win that game that had nothing to do with the refs.....

The fact that you’re ok with hypotheticals when they suit your narrative but “won’t play that game” when they don’t.

It actually makes perfect sense that an Orgeron sycophant like yourself would attempt to set the bar low enough to say a team isn’t bad just because they go to a bowl game. Go ask auburn fans if their team was bad this year.

Absolutely none of that has anything to do with the teams on the field in 2018. The 2018 auburn team lost to Tennessee at home, got manhandled by Mississippi st, and gave up 50+ to Alabama.

saying we lost to 2 teams in pick em type games is not hypothetical. Im not sure that word means what you think it does.

so you think 2-10 is the same as 7-5 and you expect me to take you seriously? do better please.

If the home team dominating over a 2 decade stretch tells you nothing, then again, i cannot take you seriously.

Yes, it very much is.

I know it doesn’t mean what you think it means. Kinda like how you think a team isn’t bad just because they go to a bowl.

quote:

so you think 2-10 is the same as 7-5

I think Arkansas going 2-10 was bad and auburn going 7-5 wasbad.

I think you completely ignored the point about you being a typical Orgeron fan obsessed with lowering expectations.

I think you are afraid to click over to the sec rant and ask auburn fans if their team was bad this year.

quote:

you expect me to take you seriously?

You think I give a shite if the guy that regularly crayfishes in his own threads when called out on his bullshite “takes me seriously”?

quote:

do better please.

Better like starting a thread to talk about how Sean Salisbury is going to come in and coach qbs and use his connections to recruit? Or saying the 80th ranked offense is the same as the 40th ranked offense? Yes, we all should aspire for such levels of greatness.

quote:

If the home team dominating over a 2 decade stretch tells you nothing

I want you to tell me what the results of the 2006 auburn-Lsu game have to do with the 2018 auburn team. “Be specific.”

quote:

then again, i cannot take you seriously.

And that still means just as little to me now as it did the last time you said it.
