What is up with the shady Amazon deliveries?

Got home at 4:30 PM with package out for delivery.
Was outside tending to some yard stuff and no delivery was made.
Shows as delivered.
Shady AF.

With the new distribution center in BR they are doing essentially Uber for amazon deliveries. My last 5 packages just never showed up. I think the delivery person jacked them.

May not be the issue here, but mine often say Delivered when they've been dropped off at the post office. USPS still has to deliver the package though.

The post office left a package by my mailbox on the road and literally took a picture and sent it to me saying secure. Didn’t hide it at all. Got home it was stolen. Shocking. Freaking idiot.

Amazon is still awesome in my area. Ordered Instant Pot Thanksgiving day...just got an alert it will be delivered this morning, 6 stops away. Can see on a map exactly where my package is.

None of this is new. We stopped having amazon delivered to our house six years ago, shipped to work instead. We have since moved into nicer hood, no deliveries stolen yet.

The problem is that the gps program linked to their scanner sucks. For a few weeks when they first started deliveries in the vans, they would deliver packages for our neighborhood one street over from where we actually are. So the neighborhood moms were constantly asking if someone got their packages by mistake. The good thing is that they started taking pictures of the delivery and would text it to you right away. I happened to stop the driver one day and showed her that she delivered our package to the wrong address and she drove over and got it. She showed me the scanner and sure enough it shows she was on a completely different street than where we were and our street shows as being on the other side of the pond behind our house.
I now see her pretty much every morning and she always tells me she keeps telling them the app is wrong but they still havent fixed it. As long as we get our packages, I can handle not having something immediately unlike most people who flip out over it being an hour late.
