Adrian Peterson admits he still hits son with a belt

I think disciplining your children is the right move. I mean look at all the young people who are becoming adults now, they have no discipline, no direction.
With that said, using a belt or switch shouldn't be looked on as abuse, but I do think you have to show some reasonable restraint.
If I remember right his kid had injuries from it. I think that is going too far, but lighting them up for bad behavior is absolutely reasonable.

My Mom and Uncles got the belt from their Papa - he was old school European and they were living through WWII in Austria...
