Thats a solid list for sure. I like the one about camp space occupied already. Did they up the budget too on camp?
Ive found a bug that if my camp spot is occupied and i leave the world and reset my camp, i have like 5 workbenches of armor and weapons, 5 campfires, 5 staches. I have to scrap them as they take away from my budget

Ive got 120+ hours in. I am level 70. I play with my son in law who is level 75.
I am loving the game. Shoot, loot, scrap, over encumbered. Save all this junk and loot only to throw it away or sell it to a robot vendor.
A buddy said it best the other day. It is the dumpster fire I can't stop playing.
Here is my son in law in the best role play outfit I Have seen to date.

I haven’t done shite for the last 2 days but stalk random solo players as a killer clown. I play creepy arse carnival music and don’t say anything

The clown mask is creepy. The only assholes I have run across in the game wore it.
The crouched and used fist and beat my arse. There was 3 that stole my workshop and followed me to the nuke silo.

I guess I need to get this. I am a Fallout Fanboy, but avoided it due to bad press.
Question 1: Can a sneaky rifle / pistol / shotty only guy do everything in the game without power armor? Solo?
Question 2: (related to Q 1) Do I have to go Power Armor / two handed melee or heavy weapons like I see every streamer doing to be able to solo?
Question 3: Is base building a must? I disliked that aspect of F4. I am in it for combat, RPG elements and lore / story / atmosphere. I don't care if a camp is getting attacked unless it is crucial to my success.
Question 4: Is greifing bad in this game? I like the multiplayer aspect, but not the unwanted pvp. I want to treat this as a standard Fallout game where I can join up with people here and there. Is that possible?

1: Yes, you can. you don't need PA but it helps.
I don't think you can do end game content without PA but that shouldn't be a concern in the beginning. All the sneak attacks and scopes and damage multipliers are there to make a sneak build world
2: no, you don't. but it is effective and fun. everyone pumps STR for carry weight anyways, so using a melee weapon to save ammo is a nice benefit. I use a sledgehammer and it does so much damage with a charged sneak attack
3. no, base building isn't a must. however having a mobile camp with all your benches and turrets can be an effective tool when exploring a town. a mobile place to unload junk and kite high level things into (turrets) becomes very handy
id suggest just building a 2x2 square room with some crops, water, and a bed. go simple as heck.
4: there is no griefing. everyone is helpful.
I never wear PA, don't like the UI or clunky feel. but you need it to farm Nuke Sites and scorchbeasts(end game content)

Thanks for the reply. Even with the bugs I have read about, Fallout games are hard to not play. RDR2 / RDO getting stale for me.
Glad sneak builds are viable. I guess I'll have to get PA at some point, but I can live with that if its only for end game content. I always play FA games as a sneaky guy, didn't want to have to change, but the lack of combat pausing could push me to my Skyrim one handed melee builds with a ranged backup skill. I just love the RPG element of sneaking around the wasteland unseen until I pop unsuspecting enemies.

combat rifles weight a lot, thus require considerable investment to use them.
that's another reason you see so many melees. people have the STR anyways, might as well utilize the raw stats it provides
there are a bunch of perks related to sneak damage and rifle damage so you can certainly play a high perception / no charisma / silent assassin
if you are looking for a "set up a snipers nest in the hills and unload crit sneak headshots on super mutants until they spot me" experience, this game can certainly provide that. no shortage of towns and environmental challenges to deal with
also your CAMP provides a "Free fast travel" marker, so its always beneficial to have a camp placed somewhere. most fast travel costs caps. the Vault 76 waypoint is free, your camp is free, that's it.
plus you want a place to put your Stash box anyways

Bear arms is absolutely a must have perk if you use heavy weapons. Fully upgraded it reduces heavy weapon weight by 90%.
Gatling plasma weighs under 2 pounds. 50 cal machine gun? 1.5 lbs
Strength and intelligence are what I maxed out first. Intelligence is super useful because it gives you the crafting perks that makes your guns/melee/armor last a frickkkkkkk ton longer. Strength for the reasons already posted.
For an mmo, there is honestly very little griefing. Most players are nice and will give you free shite.
If you find something that you really want but aren’t a high enough level to use it, SCRAP IT. it’s useless weight and you’ll find better by the time you reach the proper level.
For power armor, I’ve had the most trouble finding left arm/leg and helmets. But you won’t be able to use those until level 25+ for non raider power armor

Ive got agility pegged. I have a chest piece that makes me harder to detect while sneaking.
Last night I was hiding and a scorched was near by. He didn't detect me until he physically bumped in to me.
I sneak and do head shots with the pipe bolt action pistol. *ammo conservation* and have a shotgun/vats headshots for close range/shite hits the fan.

Thanks - this is what I will be going for. Silenced weapons, no power armor unless absolutely needed. Sneak and shoot.
