Are any restaurants in BR close to New York or Chicago style? I know both styles vary but wonder if we have places that is close to either one.

Rotolos craft and crust has a nice Chicago style

I think S’barro pulled out of all the ghetto malls in Baton Rouge so you’ll probably have to drive to Lafayette to their mall. It’s fantastic NY style pizza

There is no good ny style pizza place in br. Roma’ s in praireville is pretty good and pretty close to ny style pizza.

I don’t think there’s any place in BR that does either. Closest to NYC is Bistro Italia.

Impossible to get New York style pizza crust in Louisiana. The water in New York is what makes the crust.. New York's water comes from upstate in the Catskills. Best tap water anywhere, and comes out of the faucet icy cold.

I really want to like Rocca because I like Dominica.. but it hasn’t really wowed me. The photos they continue to post on their social media look nothing like the actual pizzas I’ve had. Everything I’ve had there besides the Iverstine has been laughably low on toppings and seemingly not sauced at all.
I don’t expect overly topped Americanized pizza, but these don’t even match up to what they’re presenting on their own menu.
Got the azzurro fries and had the same experience. Only 2 of them in the whole bowl had the topping/sauce.

To diverge on NYC/Chicago some:
I liked the deep dish at BJ's at mall except it needed more sauce, the crust was great.
Honestly I really still like the pizza at Ghatti's..
