Great article about Payton's usage of Taysom Hill and how effective he's actually been. Enjoy.

Defenses really have no answer for him.

I can't believe how strong the dude is.
He just runs over linebackers.

He's a total anomaly.

I can't wait for the game where Hill throws a TD pass to Brees. You know it's going to happen

Doubtful. Why would we risk our most important asset?

Was it the Rams game when he was going to throw a pass back to Brees but it was covered? No worries. Hill just put his head down and ran over a Rams DB for a 4th down conversion.

If he ever gets better at reading the option it's going to get ugly for defenses. In the gif against Atlanta that was an obvious give, but he pulled it anyway and out athleted the defense.

I wish taysom would start to make the actual reads though, it seems most of the time pre snap he's already decided whether or not he's keeping or giving.

Agreed but I think the play dictates whether he keeps it or gives it. In other words it looks like an option but isn't because it's pre-determined where the ball is going. Or maybe he's just really bad at making those reads.

Can’t remember which announcer it was but he said eventually the defenses are just going to ignore the running back bc hill keeps it 99% of the time

Charles Davis.

And he’s full of shite as he has given it to kamara on the dive and he has thrown it. Let those idiots keep thinking that.

This is Sean Payton's perfect play, I'm guessing.

And that's when we'll actually start handing it off to Kamara.

Could be wrong but I think that may be the plan.

Payton is a master at creating mismatches.

Graham
Kamara
Sproles
Hill

He does it all the time. Pretty incredible.

CSP has effectively bent the offensive rules as far as he can with some of these formations. Incredible. It’s like as long as it’s technically allowed there’s nothing we won’t try.

When I heard that I literally LOLed. Yea ignore the running back. Ignore Alvin Kamara. I'm sure that will work out great for you.

Yep. CSP is probably just waiting for a defense to do that. That's the goal imo.

No doubt. Or leaving Brees uncovered.
