The U.S. bishops are currently gathered in Baltimore, Maryland, for their annual fall meeting, which was to focus on dealing with the sex abuse crisis. During the opening session of the meeting Monday morning, Cardinal Daniel DiNardo, the president of the bishops’ conference (USCCB), informed the assembly that he had been contacted by the Holy See on Sunday afternoon with instructions not to move forward with a vote on several concrete measures to respond to the abuse crisis.

“At the insistence of the Holy See, we will not be voting on the two action items in our docket regarding the abuse crisis,” DiNardo said Monday.

“We are not, ourselves, happy about this,”

Every single day this MAN brings shame upon himself and the Catholic Church.

Do not be fooled by false prophets and wicked men. The Lord's kingdom is not of this world.

Poor Francis is the worst thing to happen to the church. The more he speaks the more Catholics realize he’s full of shite.

It’s obvious now that Benedict was probably forced out or just couldn’t deal with the evil that is the Vatican anymore.

There's no doubt that the Left began infiltrating both the USA and the Catholic Church at the same time. We are witnessing the affects of both successful infiltrations before our very eyes. We are witnessing History.

The Pope is saying they've only had 1000 years to rectify the situation and need more time!

As a Catholic, this just saddens me to no end. Francis needs to be removed and the Vatican purged.

True story i used to do the HVAC service work for the Mobile Arch diocese about 20 years ago. I was working in one of the priest rooms because they live there in a Civil War era home in downtown Mobile. This dudes laptop was open and he had gay porn open actively and he is still part of the church.

Not even religious but Catholics need to see the light.

Protest this bullshite. You know, by separating yourself from the Vatican, like my mans Martin Luther.

Francis is Al-Dajjal.

No doubt, organized religion is a construct of mankind, and so, terribly flawed, corrupt, and at times evil. That's all religions. But I've thought pretty much all of my adult life that Catholicism could very well be evil.

Confessing your sins to another man, and receiving absolution from that man?

Matthew 23:9 "And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven."

Catholics call errdamnbody father. Why?

A religion that declares sinners, saints? Declares clergy Holy?

When you throw in what the Bible calls the abomination of homosexuality, and how pervasive it, and pedophilia is among Catholic clergy?

At this point, I just have to hope that when I have to answer for my life, faith in God and Jesus as my savior, will find favor in God's eyes, because I avoid religion on purpose.

Honestly I don't know if this makes me a "bad" Catholic but Pope Francis has made me question my Catholic faith on occasion. I am still very much a Christian, but sometimes I can't help but wonder if the church, particularly the leadership, has lost its way

Great thread. The Catholic Church has great educational opportunities for our kids/grandkids, but the religion itself is corrupt. There are pictures of known sex abusers on the walls of many churches. I’m on a mission to take them down. I have one in particular in my cross hairs now.
