Ensminger goes back to coaching TE's where they will never been an integral part of the offense anyway.

Hard to say. Ensminger may want to step down. Hopefully he does want to change schematically but one year isn’t enough time and that’s why we see his old stuff come out. We have some tempo / Rpo’s etc But n 8-9 months its hard to implement a ton. I hope E moves back to TE’s and maybe asst OC and a young offensive mind steps in. It’s time to change offensively. O promised us that

I've held this theory that O promoted E for the year hoping to get Kiffin or Freeze for next year. I know Freeze made a run at Bama and it was shot down so I am probably wrong on him.

Yes

I think SE truly cares about how LSU performs and is perceived at a football power. I have felt from the beginning he was "convinced" to take the OC job. I really feel he has given it his best...but....
So, I think he will step down, and that announcement may come before the 12/19 signing day and hopefully his replacement named.

No and it would not matter. We could not block Southeastern defense ends. Or Louisiana tech for that matter.

We need to bring someone that will bring in the spread... and combine that with a better QB and O line. We need to be up to date.

Should we? Yes. A top tier OC while retaining Aranda makes Ed Orgeron a viable coach moving forward to win championships for LSU, and that’s what we all want, whether we’re a positiger or a negatiger or whatever

Will we? Absolutely not. Because Ed Orgeron is our head coach and he’s going to be stubborn about this and say SE is doing a great job as OC.

I sense orgeron is too personally connected to ensminger to axe him, and unfortunately i think it needs to happen for this team/program to make the next leap forward.

Coach o is doing a remarkable job so far as head coach but when the seasons over he needs to do the difficult thing, and press forward.

If he doesnt, there is no reason to think lsu program will advance under his watch

I really will be surprised if he doesn't step aside following the bowl game. Don't think that a new OC will be a "fix all". There is much to do athletically on both sides of the ball.

Seriously, do you think it is a possibility.

I think it is a possibility but that the odds are slim. I think coach O would view it as a risky move being that he just got rid of an OC last season.,

Now whether you think he should or not is an entirely different discussion of which I have said all that I care to say about the subject already.

I think we're in a time loop where Les looks like a big cajun guy and Cam Cameron dips a lot more than usual during games.

I think if O has an OC he wants and can get, Steve will step down. Orgeron is not Mile, he knows he has a small window to succeed. Miles rode that BCS championship for far too long. O does not have that luxury.

Highly doubtful but a piss poor offensive performance from here on out including the bowl game might could.

Not unless LSU totally tanks the last few games

If they do they need to start doing some homework now and who ever O brings in needs to be proven college OC, who can coach up QBs, develop them and run a real innovative offense.

O also needs to step the frick back and forget LSU power football traditions for a minute and let the damn offense be what it's supposed to be. Hell it doesn't have to even be all that complicated, just a good play caller that recognizes situations early and knows how to defeat it. Someone that is great with fakes, movement, match ups and RPOs.

We have a QB that can be dynamic if they would just let the man play ball. We will have better depth next year all over the place on offense. We really need to nail down 2 more elite DTs and another guy who can rush the passer. He doesn't have to be Arden Key or Chassion. He can be heavier and just quick/strong combo. That's hard to deal with in close.

We would kill people if we had real depth up the middle to rotate and 2 guys who can get to the QB from the edge. We need our NTs to get into shape and if the S&C guys can't do their jobs then it's time for them to go too. They need to motivate as much as do their jobs in the weight room.

We should, but unless the wheels totally come off in the next three weeks we probably won't.

I wasn't a fan of the O hire, but he went out this last offseason and really did a good job trying to fill the holes in the program. The team, as a whole, also looks very well coached. I just think O has a vision for his team (2003 USC) that isn't possible for the current talent and the current times. He's going to have to change that vision or we're going to be stuck as a middle of the pack offensive team at best.

The simple fact is that our offense this season is very bad, and there are better coaches out there that could be getting more out of our talent than Steve Ensminger. I would love to have a coach that could match Aranda on the offensive side of the ball, but at this point I'd settle for one that has the occasional bad offensive game instead of the occasional good one. And while continuity on offense can be important, I think it's only really important if you have a good offense, which we don't.
