I ma there for a week every three months for work. Typically stay the nights in Chula Vista though. I'm rather fond of my kidneys.
All joking aside, it's like any other large industrial city in a shithole country. There are good parts and bad parts, safe parts and dangerous parts. I've been to two strip clubs there, one high end, and one in the gutters. Both were great experiences, and I'm pretty sure I could have fricked any stripper I wanted at either establishment. They whores fricking love white people. They can immediately key in on who has a Mexican income, and who has a US income.

Actually just went this past weekend with some buddies.
We thought it would be fun to go to one of these shows. Everyone was saying “you’ve got to check out one of these shows”. And it was a woman fricking a horse. We get there, and think it’s gonna be awesome but it’s not as cool as it sounds like it would be, man. It’s kind of gross. You think “a woman fricking a horse” and you get there and it’s a woman fricking a horse. It was really giving it to her. And you know what? To be honest I felt bad for her. We all just felt bad for her. Kind of felt bad for the horse.

Crossing back into the US, the Customs agent, a Florida Evans look-a-like, established that we were US citizens and then asked why we were in Canada. My friend, who was driving, said "We came over to go to the casino and the strip clubs, but we never left the strip club". Florida smiled and asked if we were bringing anything back from Canada. Hong Kong is definitely the better place now. I feel like a lot of the people replying haven't been there in a while. Uber is better than taxis now, Airbnb is better than most hotels. Some areas aren't too bad, they've become somewhat Americanized.

I went to TJ several times and Rosarita once ... would have been around 1994.
Then TJ again one more time around 1999.
Walking back to the border on the final visit...made the mistake of giving $5 to one of the chicklet kids.
That little shite ran back to his leper mom...and next thing I know, about 50 chicklet kids are coming my way.
I almost had to run to get away from them.
I always felt sorry for those people.

Never got to go. Was off limits when I was stationed at Pendleton. My roommate Santa Cruz went every weekend though
