Probably is some retired e-6 attending all the free veteran day buffets within 100 miles of him.

Here’s a comment from the story KTDY had on Facebook about the fight. Apparently the deceased had some issues.

“I’m happy to see this man dead.. he has like 8 previous DWI and was involved in a hit and run with one of my friends in which he pretty much left her on the side of the road dying while he didn’t stick around cause he was drunk again and has a suspended DL. This guy was a POS. I have no sympathy for people like him. Karma came back for his arse

But yea 99.9 KTDY it has been confirmed it had nothing to do with the game. It was behind his niece.

Stop spreading fake news”

Nothing good happens after midnight. Especially in a dive bar.

It used to be a nice place to live....before Katrina

quote:

PONCHATOULA, La., May 24, 2005 - Two decades ago, Hosanna Church was one of the fastest growing congregations in the cypress flats of Tangipahoa Parish on Lake Pontchartrain's northwest rim, and its pastor, Louis Lamonica, was a beloved figure.

"That man could really preach," said Bill McCormack, a resident of Ponchatoula who attended the church as a boy. "He was an awesome local icon."

But by two years ago, when the church finally closed after a ferocious falling-out between the pastor's son and successor, Louis Lamonica Jr., and his family, the congregation that once neared 1,000 had dwindled to 10 or 15 troubled souls from a handful of families.

And now, many of them, including Louis Lamonica Jr. and a deputy sheriff who once lived on the church grounds, are behind bars, accused by the police of a litany of ungodly offenses, including sexual abuse of perhaps two dozen children and the mutilations of cats for satanic rituals.

This is your definition of a nice place to live?

Every town has a couple crazies.

Pre Katrina PHS was an A school. Town had little traffic. And large land tracts to live on

That actually happened in Hammond. Don’t know why it is always reported as Ponchatoula. That church is on the Northside of the Ponchatoula creek which is Hammond

Exactly. The man wouldn't have died without it.

Those LSU fans, not only the fact that thier team got destroyed on the field make them react the way they did, now they'll get destroyed in prison themselves.

No sympathy.

Bleacher report is picking this up as LSU fans attacking a Bama fan when all info is pointing to this being something else entirely.

ETA: to the guy above me, someone who was there is claiming the deceased was trying to remove a drunk girl he knew from the bar and she wasn't happy about leaving.

Two big fellows thought it was something it wasn't, jumped him, and then hit him while he was the ground because they're trashy and that's what trash does.

I have no idea what caused the fight or how much of the responsibility belongs with the Bama fan but that seems to be an accurate statement.

My apologies. They are pursuing the angle that it was an attack motivated by said fandom when all signs are pointing to it being something else entirely.
