What happened is what I expected to happen although I was hoping beyond reason that we might actually hold the house.

My gut feeling to this is that it is a major GOP victory, although I know it doesn't seem like that to those who bought into the Red Wave hook like and sinker.

The amount of Media, Hollywood, Democratic effort, and money that went into this midterm should have generated a blue wave the likes of which we haven't seen in a long time. But because of the red wave (little r) we stifled their major momentum shift.

Trump appeared to focus more on Senate and Governor races with his rally's and it paid off in a big way.

Anyone who was seriously following politics knew that the House was a lost cause. Don't let this bring you down.

I feel great. Lots of melts here though which I don’t understand. We held the 3 biggest governorships and gained bigly in the Senate. Keeping the House was always a pipe dream

Yes. There is also the off-chance that Liberals will calm down, come back from the ledge, and work with Trump to do some good things.

I'm hopeful that compromise legislation can still happen. Trump is not an ideologue. He will at least attempt to negotiate to get things done.

Pissed. How can Americans be so damned stupid to vote for Democrats at all after all the rhetoric, calls for violence, illegal immigrants streaming over our borders, sanctuary cities.... etc.

This country is lost in 50 years or less and thank God I won't be around to see it's collapse.

I don't understand how you guys think Trump can negotiate peace in the Koreas but will be unable to work with Liberals in America.

Considering the history of midterm elections, who wouldn't be happy if you're right of a libertarian.

I feel concerned that almost 50% of Georgia voted for a socialist. Pure ignorance and some of it is educated ignorance.

I feel great. We gained in the Senate, and now, the Dems get to go on full retard display in the House. 2020 will be a landslide.

Pretty good. The democrats poured millions of dollars into this election, and lost Senate seats, while not picking up massive gains in the house as predicted. Pelosi will be speaker, stalling The House, and giving the Republicans 2 years worth of ammunition, to help President Trump get re-elected, have more republicans win house seats, and possibly pick up even more Senate seats. Just gotta pull up our pants and keep grinding for 2 years then good things will happen.

Obviously not excited, but positive. Good opportunity in font of us.

Why?

I just happen to have that answer!

Part of the panic from the left was from zero control. That helpless feeling. Well, now they have some control which is like giving a hangman more rope.

This sets up the GOP to retake the house while winning re-election in 2020 (history says so) after Trump hammers them for legislative obstruction and proof they can’t govern.

Plus Dems will have had a chance to investigate Trump which we know will turn up empty.

We’re now in a long game Baws. Just gotta ride it out to 2020.

Liberals not working with Trump will do so at their own peril.

It will not look good for them if Trump is making a good effort to meet in the middle and they continually slap his hand away.

This is pretty much my feeling - certainly was last nite.

This is the first time in my life I have been embarrassed by my countrymen. A huge swath of out voting population is either stone cold stupid, or evilly motivated.

It is the latter choice that makes me so sad. To know that so many people are gladly accepting what the DEMs are doing is a very very bad thing.

Well that is what happens when your vote is based on race and gender, platforms be damned.

Feels great.

The amount of bodies strewn across America will finally be stopped with the Democrats taking back the House. The stench was becoming unbearable.

And florida, and absolutely whichever stupid state bernie won in a landslide. and florida is likely blue henceforth.

what i feel good about is that the amount of money and energy the left poured into it and still didn't win the whole way.. considering the two FULL years of 24/7 hate towards trump snd his voters... they have to be feeling nervous about their influence waning.

I’m glad that we finally got rid of our Jim Crow era law regarding 10-12 juries. I’m really proud of Louisiana.
