Im so tired of all the bashing of the coaching staff. If they are so bad then play the AD and hire us a staff of people who could be available. I would really like to know who should be coaching that is within reason.

What's the point of these threads?

It doesn't matter what coaches we list, you'll shoot them down.

What did you see out of the coaching staff this week that you believe deserves praise?

Staff?

Typically the AD hires a head coach, probably has slight input on the OC/DC and signs approvals on the rest.

So if you're asking me to hire a head coach that could be more competent and successful than O, sure.

You want me to play AD? Fine.

I bring O into my office and give him a very simple ultimatum: he either gets the offense fixed or he's gone. And that means, quite specifically, Ensminger is gone or he's gone; the OC he picks demonstrates an immediate improvement in 2019 or he's gone.

That's all. O was hired to fix the offense, remember? He hasn't thus far, and he either does or he gets the boot.

HC Lane Kiffin

OC Kendall Briles

DC Aranda (If O gets fired, do not think he sticks around too much turmoil jumps to the NFL while his stock is sky high)

TE Ensminger

OL Kevin Mawae

DL Karl Dunbar

LB Depends again on if Aranda is DC, if not obviously need a new one, not hard to find a good willing one with our talent

DB Raymond, do not need or want a CB and S coach just Raymond

WR Tony Ball

RB Recruiting Ace

You can fill out the rest of the staff, but these are core there will always be staff turnover especially in the SEC.

Irrational almost pathological hate for Orgeron....especially when he loses. He could win the next 3 , which are very likely, go to a New Year's Bowl, win that, and there would still be people on here who want him canned

Yep, but more importantly, it's the coaches that have shot us down since 2015. ere is a segment on TD that thinks that coaches would salivate for this job and sell their daughters into slavery for it.

I agree with you. It was not what I wanted but that is what will take place -vs- Alabama the rest of the season against everyone. We were outmanned and out schemed. You know like i do if Saban has that long to prepare against anyone in college football he wins. The only thing i can say is that we are way better than everyone thought we would ever be. We are still in great shape. We are top ten. Control our own fate for new years bowl. Did anyone see that coming? I sure did not but I am very proud of our team and coaching staff for all they have done this year. That is my thought but i know its surely not the only thought!!!
Im still with the players, coaching staff and team.

I certainly agree that the season as a whole has been a good one. However, if the goal is to win division, conference and national championships then what we saw Saturday doesn't exactly inspire confidence that this is the offense that will get it done.

Simple question, is LSU better than Texas A&M this year? Since I gave you a staff and did not respond to it.

Hyperbole at its finest.

It's not pathological. Most people don't hate Orgeron, they're just disappointed that he made such an obvious error in promoting his friend and not the best possible OC candidate.

Les Miles was fired because he refused to fix the offense. Miles got by for years with a 'run the ball and play defense' attitude; it was good enough for 9-10 wins, but not good enough for championship caliber football.

So, Miles was fired.

Orgeron was hired to implement a "USC style" program -- pro-style passing attack complimenting an elite defense. Instead, LSU has gone backwards offensively.

It's not good enough.

Hey, I got up this morning and it was an absolutely beautiful day. I did some shopping for my wife and I hugged and kissed my granddaughter repeatedly. This afternoon she and I had some BB Ice Cream. It was so good. I'm looking forward to the game with Arky. Life moves on and so should you. After all it's just a game young men play in the fall.

To Coach Eaux, staff and players..........thank you.

This is not and never has been a good diversionary tactic. Orgeron's resume was what it was and as such, nearly ANY coach with a better record would have been a better hire.

Listing everyone with a better record, or all available up and coming coordinators who had yet to fail would be an exhausting and ultimately futile task.

additionally: are we talking "available" coaches? Dream coaches?

You don't know if a coach is "available" until you back the truck up. Even then, it's in doubt.

The best any of us can do is speak on the philosophy we want to hire for coordinators (which only degenerates into a "spread" vs. "no spread" argument about systems) and track record for HC's.

We tried the innovative type at OC, it became a conflict of personalities. Which I don't understand fully. On one hand, your staff has to function together...period. On the other, for millions everybody can eat little shite, swallow some pride, and do their fricking jobs.

I think we are "better" than A&M as well. We are more talented across the board, have best players within each position group, and have high NFL talent as well.

Texas A&M scored 23 points against Alabama, LSU scored 0. We are better than A&M, our coaching staff is not. What will be the difference I don't know, should know better after Arkansas.

I certainly am, Lane Kiffin is available, Mike Leach is available, Major Applewhite will be available not ready quite yet but give it probably another year would not mind it after this year if it meant making a switch, Venables would probably be available, Holgoerson from WVU is available, I think Shaw at Stanford would also be available

Those are all available.....
