I’d be willing to say our defense is the reason Fromm missed those open passes. Fromm has been very efficient in every other game except against us. Same will go for Tua. He will hit some plays, but I don’t see him being this god that he’s been. I’ll go out on a limb and say he completes less than 60% of his passes. Well below his 70%

Believe me we will blitz from all over the field. We need to keep them guessing on where the blitz is coming from.

Aranda's going to mix it up. this is not news.
Who said it was news? Just an interesting football point that Fehoko brought up.

And no one thinks Aranda will run a 3-man rush/8-man dropback on every passing down. But it could be a weapon in some situations.

Bama patented HOLDING, err BLOCKING technique will hold off the pass rush.

Happens every SEC game.

LSU is going to have to mix it up on D. Aranda has done a great job the past few weeks disguising pressures and getting home with just 4. I think the biggest thing is stopping the Alabama running game. If we can get Tua in 3rd and long we can make it long night for him. The greatest QB's in the history of football struggle on 3rd and long especially with pressure. Tua is a great player but he isn't super human.

Well, if we can't get pressure on Tua no matter how many we rush and he has all day anyways, we may as well drop everyone into coverage and force him to thread the needle.

Plan might work. At least in the first half with White on the bench!

Rush 3 and drop 8? Wrong week for that game plan

Fehoko just talked about the d-line bringing pressure. I think everyone in the world knows the 3 d-linemen will be rushing. What he didn't say is that we'll be dropping 8. This is where Aranda comes into play. He's going to rush 3 DL and then compliment that rush from somewhere, anywhere, and/or everywhere. He's going to blitz linebackers, safeties, and corners. Sometimes together, sometimes just one extra guy. The key is to keep Tua off-balance and not be able to identify where the pressure is coming from. It's up to the DL to occupy the o-line so the random surprise blitzer can find the gap and get to the QB.

Crazy to think that you can have 2 juniors declare early for the draft and whiff on your biggest recruiting target and you still have the best secondary in the country.

You really think Tua is a better QB than Jake Fromm b/c of the gaudy stats? Jake had a HORRIBLE day in Tiger Stadium a few weeks ago, as did Nick F. As will Tua.

When we rush 3, at least 1 will be a s or cb and poss 1 rush lb, with a dl or 2 dropping into coverage.

Wont be shocked to see 2 nt w/ a couple dbs come, at times.

We will rarely come w 3 dl. Rarely. They wont know whos coming, from where or when.

Aranda brings his entire blitz pkg. The whole fkg burrito.

No. Holds. Barred.

Hope so. Bama converts more than half of their third downs though.

3rd Down Conversions 50-89 (56.18 %)
4th Down Conversions 3-7 (42.86 %)

Burrow missed a few too. What if we play A+ and dont miss this year like years past?

Its not just stats, although those are eye popping AF.

It's just from watching him. Tua is a much better QB than Fromm. He's more athletic, has a better arm, and has an insanely quick release with deadly accuracy.
