So this watch would be a No?

Simple/not busy
Get what you like, It's your money and taste, but I just think there are much better options for the money.

Pay attention to the thickness and case diameter. You're not gonna be wearing a G-shock Mudman underneath a dress shirt.
Good point

I upvoted because I know what you were saying and the point you were making
Yea when you have a "luxury" brand putting out shite that looks like a teenagers PoS fossil watch you have to question the brand as a whole IMO.

It has to do with how Tag has marketed themselves, especially for their more accessible range. There are still some models that are iconic and worth respect. It's still a big name swiss watch brand.

Tbh, you can try on a large amount of brands, styles, and sizes at the mall. Go to different department stores and check everything out

Oh I agree and I love some of the Formula 1 models.

It's pretty much universally disliked in "watch circles".

Get what you want, who cares what other people think. If you like it, wear it.

That was a Romeo by Romeo y Juileta
Love my Pogue as well. It was passed down to me. Its what got me interested in Seikos.

I haven’t had a RyJ in a while. I may snag a 5 pack and give it a try.

Check out EMG. It’s a boutique brand started by some watch forum members IIRC. Think they are taking orders for their diver style watch, looks good, automatic movement, $300-$500 price range.
There are a bunch of boutique brands that are similar, just have to search. Or just buy a Seiko.
EMG Nemo for reference:

Really? I don’t know. I think they had a rough stretch in the late 90’s or so, but vintage Autavia’s, and the new heritage Autavia, along with the Carrera and Aquaracer seem like pretty great and respected pieces. I am far far from a watch expert nor am I in any “watch circles”.
Siffert Autavia is one of my goals watches.
