Hey y’all,

Four of us from Texas are heading down to BR for the game this weekend. We bought tickets a couple months ago because a bucket list item had always been to attend a game in Death Valley. Is WHITE OUT really happening? Two of us are Aggies and the other two are Longhorns but we wanted to do our part and support the home team. I just needed to know what color shirts to buy.

Also, how open are the tailgates to visitors? At A&M most tailgaters will allow you to stop by, visit, and watch the other games on TV. Is this something that is encouraged at LSU? We will bring our own beer and can chip in cash if that is acceptable? Thanks in advance for the help!

Do not say you are Aggy or Bama fans and you should be fine

If you say you're just visiting Death Valley because it's on your bucket list then you'll be fine.

Yep..It's a White out for Devin White....No shirts on sale particular to the event..Just wear white shirt and caps....Thanks...we will need all the support we can get. You are going to see one loud, hellacious game.
You picked the very best game in TS that you could have for a bucket list game! Welcome!

Yes, most tailgates would be “open” especially if you’re wearing LSU gear and tell them it’s a bucket list trip and you’re rooting for LSU

It isn't a white out, the school hasn't announced it is nor has any official media outlet dubbed it a white out. Wear neutral colors or purple and gold

Thats what people should do.. wear white attire that can be taken off.
Heck some people should just hand out free extremely large white t-shirts at the game.

People already donating big money to billboards, maybe donate some huge shirts for the cause.

As far as the "White Out" most will probably wear it the first half if not have a hoodie or jacket on.

For tailgating, LSU fans are very welcoming. Let us know this is your first time experiencing LSU gameday and you will be well taken care of.

You guys definitely picked the best game to experience LSU gameday and Death Valley at full force. It will be awesome!

This....prolly wouldnt mention your aggies/longhorns....no good will come out of that.

Just wear something white or lsu and wander around the campus and stop by tailgates telling people you're out of state visitors.

Even if you tell people you are Aggie and Longhorn fans... but hate Alabama... you’ll be welcomed with open arms. They’ll feed you and get you drunk as shite!

You’ll be LSU fans after Saturday night

We tailgate in the Hayfield Lot. Its a free parking lot between Alex Box field and the rec fields. We are under the tress with loud music and a big blowup Tiger. Visitors are more than welcome

Dude. You got no dog in this fight and you can make over $1k on a pair of good tickets. Sell them motherfrickers, take a weekend trip with the $$, and come back for the Rice Game.

But if you insist on coming play in our sandbox, you'll be welcome at just about any tailgate that's inhabited by actual alumni, not local 'fans' nor current students.

Your best bet for some icebreakers and invites will be to proudly wear your Aggie and Longhorn shirts but with LSU hats. This will pique a LOT of interest around campus.
Explain your trip and you're golden.
We saw some Oregon Ducks doing this exact thing before Ole Miss a few weeks ago(Death Valley was on their bucket list since the 2011 game). We fed them well and they seemed to be having a damned fine time.

Just be aware, You Ags and Longhorns don't have the problem LSU, Florida, and Bama have.
We have a shite-ton of 'fans' who've never enrolled in a class at the university, but come out in droves to tailgate. They are often classless jackasses to opposing fans. Just use common sense and good manners and you'll be fed and drunk well before kickoff.

That is terrible advice.

The Rice game is going to be sleepy Death Valley.

The Bama game is going to be electric

It’s not being official supported by the university but a large contingent of the fans are participating.

I doubt it turns out to be a true “white out” and will be more of a larger number of fans than usual will wear white.

I Don’t suggest y’all wear crimson or burnt orange. But I think a white shirt with your team’s logo would be fine. It would show your true fandom but also show you are here to participate along with the good guys.
