It's a little too early to tell. Coach O is doing well, but he inherited a much better situation those 3 did.

Exactly. Miles also won a title.

Look, I was hypercritical of Orgeron and the hire, but he has earned some leash.
Those 3 all deserved and earned a leash the second they were hired. They inherited shite shows, unlike Orgeron.

Herman literally just gave up after a sack with a timeout left before half.
Just let the time go.

I just can't see how this is a fair assessment to judge how they would do here..
And exactly how would O do taking over those programs? And completely having to bring in all his own guys.
I never felt Texas was back this soon. Okie St should beat them currently.
I'm starting to really question Jimbo though.

Herman has Texas playing way better than they were before he got there. He is in no way a fraud. If he’s still losing 3 or 4 games a year in two years then maybe.
Jimbo is in his first year and the aggies are much improved.
It’s too early to be calling them frauds. Orgeron is doing fine for sure but he did get a more talented team to start with.

I don't know
If he didn't fill some gaps with transfers and JUCO guys this could be a really bad team.
Imagine this team without Burrow, Fehoko, Lewis, Traore
Traore might not be great but he has had significant snaps this year because of injuries. Lewis has been a fixture at guard.
Without O filling some gaps we could have had a lot more trouble on the offensive line, big downgrade at QB, and one guy thinner on the defensive line

I would say if you think about the games that got Miles fired in '15 and '16, none were due to talent. It was all coaching. In 2015, LSU was in the top 4 going into the Bama game and was a preseason top 5 in 2016. Those other programs were nowhere near that.

And how’s southern cal doing?

Has to be killing T-boy to have to play Ehlinger at QB.

While LSU wasn't even close to as messed up as both Texas and A&M. LSU had plenty of work to do. Orgeron was just very quick to lesson those blows early on. Look at all the things he's improved on. It's a totally different program than what Miles left here. He gutted the OL, QBs, WRs. He added some good kicker, recruiting better QBs for the future, brought in a kicker and QB to win now with. He's added more staff members or analyst and has improved on our staff as well.
Just about every move he's made has turned out to be a great move. I don't think people understand how much having those analyst is helping this program and that's in their first year. They will really help in year 3 and 4. The tape they break down will be in more and more depth. They will start to learn tendency and what they prefer to do against certain teams. Weakness and strength of specific players. They can dive pretty deep and if I were LSU, I would allow them to dig deeper into bama then anyone else.
I would have told them before the season to take something from bama every week. Learn them in and out.

This is true. O didn't even have to find a DC. He was handed possibly the best DC in the country with his defense already in place.

Herman had a much better situation and roster than Matt Canada at Maryland, but he still lost to him. He lost to less talented teams every year when he was at Houston. I'll withhold judgment on him until he wins something. May turn out to be a great coach, but we haven't seen it yet.

Fuente doesn't belong in the same category as Herman and Fisher. And fisher can still rest on what he accomplished at FSU
