Opposing fans always take over The Quarter on Thursdays. LSU fans are at work.

I expect a large crowd; why not?

They're coming off a national title game appearance and ranked #2 or #3 in the polls.
We're traditionally good, and are still good this year regardless of coach (still in the top 10).
They get to come here once a decade or so.
We're known as one of the top tailgate and big-game atmosphere venues.

Any of their other games worth going to is a yearly or semiannual event.

We did the same thing the last time it was at Georgia, if I remember rightly. Because it wasn't really a rivalry, it was more like a premium OOC game.

This is an awesome trip for most East teams aside from Florida. You only get to make it every 12 years. Why would you not take a long weekend, go to NOLA (one of the biggest tourist cities in America), then on Saturday go visit college footballs most feared venue vs a top 15 opponent? Seems like a no brainier to me if I were a UGA fan.

That being said, it still won't be a takeover. Even if they bring 18-20k, there will still be 4x that many LSU fans at the game.

UGA fans travel as well as LSU did in the past. We used to take over. Not so much anymore.
