I am glad to read Mr. Rispone has filed his first ethics reports that will allow him to start raising money to run for Governor. His first report revealed $5 million already committed to the campaign. I suspect that is mostly personal funds.

Business man, school choice champion, good family man.

Never thought you would ever support a Republican.

He'll get my vote.

Funny how I want to self-immolate every time you make a tariff thread...

But otherwise I find myself on common ground with you with some measure of frequency.

I like you much more than a few others on here whom don't need to be mentioned.

IB is okay, he could just use a Dale Carnegie course. Maybe we could all chip in for him.

It is strange how so called conservatives have adopted the old liberal union lovers pro tariff stance.

Well I doubt there is a more conservative, freedom loving poster on this board.

Any issue you disagree with me on is a step left on your own part—a step toward big government.

If he supports film credits he is no conservative. I will ask him soon.

Tariffs don't exist in a vacuum yet your arguments against them do. Just like your tax credit argument.

It's ignant

So you support less free trade and more corporate welfare and protectionism—got it.

Is Eddie Rispone that kind of guy that will go absolutely scorched earth, balls to the wall against JBE in a manner that accurately paints him as the corrupt, job/economy killing, tax and spend liberal he really is?

Because that's what it's going to take to keep JBE from getting enough of those same republicans he got in 2015 to vote for him again.

That quality is important to me. I will not support a candidate that runs a low energy, milk toast campaign as my first choice.

The Republican voters didn't elect Edwards. The Republican pols did by tearing each other apart.

There are way more Independent and Democrats in this state than registered Republicans.

You'd be correct if you said conservatives and moderates did Vitter in because he lost their votes. In a statewide election you need those folks on your side to win. Just getting Republican votes is not enough.
