The death of "Austin Powers" actor Verne Troyer has been certified as a suicide, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's office said Wednesday.
According to the coroner's office, Troyer died in April from sequelae of alcohol intoxication. Sequelae refers to a condition that was the consequence of a previous disease or injury.
Troyer died after being taken by paramedics from his North Hollywood, California home to a hospital in Van Nuys for reported alcohol intoxication. He was 49.

No. The OT brain trust told me in the flu shot thread that if you die from complications of something, you didn't die because of that something. He died of sequelae, not drinking.

It seems like it would be hard to prove intent. If he had a great deal of insurance, this will probably lead to a long legal battle.

Don't most life insurance policies cover suicide after the policy is in effect for some period of time?

That fricker nearly ran me over at Ceasars Palace back in the day. He was hauling arse on his power wheel, took a blind corner and almost took us out. Little shite was all put out after having to throw that bitch in reverse. This was right after the second Austin Powers came. out.
