The detractors are all paid scripted employees of the NFL or their assigns. The appearance of personal opinion by the analysts is all part of the script.

The NFL will maintain an outward appearance of honoring Drew Brees while having their paid hitmen tear him down.

What reason would the NFL have for conducting a heavy handed campaign against a multi-historic record holder?

The answer is simple and can be derived by a simple question: Who stands to benefit from disparaging Drew Brees?

Tom Brady and Peyton Manning benefit legacywise by the anti-Brees campaign.

It is difficult to explain to any logical person that a player like Drew Brees who may one day hold every major passing record, is somehow not top 2 or top 5 or maybe even top 10.

The more sacred records Brees maintains begins to diminish the legacies of Tom Brady and Peyton Manning.

When Manning was allowed to break Brees' single season passing record on a backward pass, you begin to see the concerted effort to protect legacies.

The NFL has built a money making narrative all around Brady and Manning and will maintain that narrative at all cost.

Here is an example of an NFL assign.

They usually have many alters and are paid trolls that defend their employers' interest online.

The argument or attack is always a personal insult.

The paid trolls were out during bountygate. The typical personal attacks were of the Katrina variety.

Let's all be honest. He sat after that pass. He could have easily stayed in and broke it.

The Elias Sports Bureau was very heavy handed in validating the backwards pass. It was wrong to take away the record in that way.

The world's leading source of statistics and historical data for the professional sports industry has other examples of going in and altering Brees type game records post game.

Another personal attack by an assign.

Remember all the personal Katrina attacks on fans during bountygate.

This is how they operate.

Well it was obvious the Defense quit on the play to allow the record, the Saints had two receivers wide open down the right side as three D backs just stood there watching.

With how outrageous some of the claims made against Brees are, it makes me think maybe you aren't a crazy person for coming up with this theory.

Worst one being thrown around a lot lately is because he's short he isn't as good.

How about because he is short, that makes him THAT MUCH BETTER than these elite athletes. Imagine what he could do if he was 6'5".

You know, just because something is conspiratorial in nature does not always disqualify it as being a falsehood. Sometimes, there are truths to it, and I’d say the OP brings up something to think on if nothing else. It’s certainly not out of the realm of possibilities in my estimation that a major business like the NFL would pander to, and look to protect it’s large markets, of which New Orleans most certainly is not one of them.

I actually believe your theory in the OP, but this:

I was offered a position as a fantasy football blogger during bountygate.

It was made clear that I not be a homer.

I was expected to attack and insult Saints fans during bountygate.

I won numerous fantasy leagues over a multi-year stretch and was considered a bit of an expert at the time.

I declined the position. I had all my fantasy accounts frozen.

I subsequently stopped playing all fantasy football.

I was then attacked on a very personal level online by paid corporate trolls.

Here is something that a personal attack paid troll might say: I believe that not only were you playing center, you were also assigned to sniff his jock and wash it.

I wonder what exactly this is in reference to. Is it off-the-books assets stolen by bad actors in our government and banking system? Is it asteroids which can be captured and mined for precious metals and minerals? Is it commerce between the Earth and extraterrestrial civilizations? Is it the space force? Is it a new power source?

That is a crazy outer space/aliens speculation thread where I was merely commenting on an article that was posted and a specific quote from said article that was particularly cryptic. This is a conspiracy thread about the NFL paying analysts to badmouth Drew Brees for tenuous reasons. Someone made an Alex Jones reference, so I was continuing the joke, poking fun at the conspiracy and Alex Jones. I'm sorry nuance and context often pass above your head.
