Some enterprising individual should rent a bus, load them up (willingly) and bus them to San Francisco for a "better future"

While I understand there are people who put themselves in that situation (lazy gutterpunk hipsters that are too lazy to get a job,) there are also lots of veterans and others with legitimate mental illnesses that have no family/friends/money and could not help themselves from being in that situation. They'll never get the help they need because the system can't profit from it.

In facilities for people with mental issues. Those cost money so they got put on the street. Now local municipalities have to deal with them out of their budget.

It's a chicken or the egg scenario.

Are they mentally ill and that's why they constantly use drugs to cope?

Or have the years of heavy drug use led to mental illness?

It's a choice. They are street people.

I guess I don't understand why they get to stay there rent free.

Trump cut taxes for himself.

Dems care more about others and do more for them.

Ask Pelosi. Face it.

We are piloting a leviathon.

Here is the dem prescription.
We are accepting the role of "my brothers keeper".

The use by the republicans of fear and terror has been effective.

The anti-commie slogans fail when compared to Medicare for all.

There is not enough for too many.

This attitude is what's keeping them out there. Most of them are mentally ill beyond just recreational drug use. They'd be fricked drugs or no drugs.

Every few months they clean out their disgusting tent city to get rid of the rats and filth.

Within hours they are all back setting up permanent encampment again.

Yea...probably not. Next time you see one holding a sign claiming to be a veteran, call his bluff. Ask him what his MOS was.

some of that.

I blame the Prosperity gospel preachers. They have got people thinking that if bad things happen to you, you had it coming and God On High meted out your comeuppance.
The trickle down effect is to make the people under the bridge into Intentionally fricked Up. Its on them. So frick em.

How do republicans rationalize what Reagan did to halfway houses?
Your druggy mentally ill street culture is owned by Reagan. Cost.

So Obama encouraged people to be homeless? While some things can be blamed on him you can't blame everything on him.

+1.

It's like the Walking Dead. You can be walking in Hyde park and see a guy straggle out from the bushes.
