I'm listening to 104.9, Jimmy went over Florida's running game stats, not impressed.

975 yards and 5.3 ypc on the season... Feliepe can’t consistently beat us.. Scarlett embarrassed us last year and Mullen’s running attack at miss state did too.. no containment on the edge... I guess I’m more enlightened than most!!! Cheers

yep. without play action Franks will be dead in the water on straight up predictable passing plays.

have to stay home and play disciplined on Mullens flex reads like he did last year to us. win one on one matchups.

We keep constant pressure on Franks, we win. Deplit and Greedy could have a field day with Franks throwing under duress.

We should have 10 guys within 3 yards of the LOS at all times. Challenge that bitch to throw the ball vertically on us.

What about that Wr screen?? thats all they ran against MSU. Seems like that would be the first thing to stop since thats about the only thing that Franks can throw accurately . I say stop the short passing game first. Im sure they will try both. If you can limit the short pass and run then LSU is in good shape. MSU was ready to stop the run and mullen beat them with short passes. Wouldnt be suprised if mullen uses alot of Screen passes to the RB for a new wrinkle.

Mullen does a good job of challenging the defense despite not having a real passing game. I think the defense will be up to the task, but it won't be that easy.

FB, do you think Aranda emphasizes contain as a basic part of his scheme, or only when facing a team that can really hurt us without it? Do we have the discipline to stay home, rather than overpursue?

The only run game I've seen has been the WR screens at the LoS when the up the middle run game is shut down.

LSU will get a snoot full of RPO, Spread type plays, lots of WR screens on the perimeter, RB screens.

With all the WR screens the will fake that some and hit a crossing route if LSU LB's get real aggressive with it.

Mullens will pull out some wrinkles to slow down the LSU DL and LB's. He will have some creative things up his sleeve.

I think you need to look at what we had personelle wise at Miss st last year and what we have going into this Florida game.

It wasn’t all Dan Mullen it was a lot more us not having the horses to hang.

Also Franks isn’t the runner Fitzgerald was last year. And that opened up their run game a lot.

Also Scarlette was out last season he had 108 yards on 22 carries in 2016. Nonexactly embarassing. 4.9 yards a carry isn’t insane.

They are like a les miles offense right now. Stop the run and cover well deep outside the hashes and they can’t score

He got a bulk of those yards after Beckwith went out of the game.

I just want to see our Defense destroy Flippy for four quarters. Not seriously injure him like knocking him out of the game... But hitting him. Early and often. Needs to be put on his arse 25 times. We pressured him some in the past, but not like he deserves.

they have a great defense. That is most worrisome. Im not worried about their offense vs our defense

man coverage - sure tackling on the perimeter and on blitzes - don't allow Franks ability to get out of the pocket and launch deep for big plays.
