Thanks for all of the recommendations so far. In addition to the city, do you all have a couple of restaurant suggestions for your recommended city?

FL is worth going to if you can get a reservation. You should be able to with it being a couple months out.

Nope They open reservations at 10am on the 1st of every odd month for the following odd and even month (September 1 was opening for Nov and Dec). The reservations go extremely fast. They have no openings for Nov or Dec

Napa Valley
Probably going there at the end of November/early December. Any recs?
I will list all the places we have been in the area.
The Girl and the Fig in Sonoma-fantastic, fantastic fantastic.
Napa Valley Roasting Company has good coffee and great scones (not so darn sweet)
Downtown Joe's has a nice patio on the river, but food was only ok and the service (our one time there) was poor.
For the OP, if I was just going to eat and SW airlines is a limiting factor, I'd pick NOLA. Uber into city. Walk or uber everywhere. So many places to choose from.

Mexico City is the correct answer.
Quintonil (#11 in World)
Pujol (#13 in World)
Can eat at both for under $200 pp for tasting menu and drinks.
Medium $ ($20ish pp):
Nico's
Contramar
Pasillo De Humo
El Parnita
Taco Stands
El Vilsito
Los Cocuyos
Marisqueria el K-Guamo
El Turix
Taqueria Los Parados
El Farolito
El Califa
Drink:
Felix - Mezcal Bar good Cocktail
El Palentquito = Tons of Mezcal
Licoreria Limantour - Swanky
La Botica - Divey

Yeah, I guess I also should have clarified that I have to drive about 3 hours to get to the closest airport where Southwest flies out of. In North LA that is Dallas.
We drive down to New Orleans quite often for different events and to see friends.

Tampa, FL. Weekend of December 7. Take her to Bern's steakhouse Friday night for dinner. Plenty of places to do lunch Saturday. Saints v Bucs game Sunday. Fly out Monday.

In that case, if it was me I'd probably pick SF.

This sounds like a great trip. Any recommendations for places to stay and other things to do?

I second this suggestion. The wife and I did this in July and had an amazing experience. Pujol is beyond words, just fantastic. Quintonil was great but hard to compare after having such an amazing experience at Pujol.
ETA: we stayed in the Polanco neighborhood and it is very safe and very nice. Almost too nice to be honest. La Condesa or Roma Norte would be worth looking into as well. Ubers are cheap. There are a number of world class museums close by which would be a best bet for keeping things simple on a quick trip. A lot more low brow but Lucha Libre was a great time. Cheap beers and the crowd was hilarious.

This is a trip I’ve wanted to take for years and just can’t seem to fit it in.

If you decide on the east coast, do Charleston over Asheville or Savannah. I would probably do Napa if I had the choice.

Man, you can't even get one day off? That's such a tight squeeze to waste 1-2 hours pre-flight in the airport each way, and 3ish hours flying each way. Plus you're 3 hours from the airport.
That's like 8 hours on Friday and 8 hours on Sunday of total drive/fly time. Yikes.

It's not ideal but it's use it or lose it unfortunately. I've already been on two week long vacations this year and have another coming up over Thanksgiving. Only so much time off.
I actually work in Dallas on occasion so maybe I can coordinate the trip on the end of a work day or two.

Ah that’s a shame. They do their reservations similar to Osteria Francescana then, pain in the butt to get a table.

This trip was basically a spur of the moment idea, so I was bummed to see it wasn't even an option for us. $1000 is a lot for dinner, but it's on the bucket list so we'd have done it. I have a feeling we'll go back, and I'll be more prepared then.
