Contract extension for LSU's Nikki Fargas on LSU board's agenda -- for the third time

The board, which meets at 10 a.m. at the University Administration building, will also consider raises and extensions for co-swimming and diving coaches David Geyer and Doug Shaffer.
LSU is proposing a three-year extension to Fargas’ contract, which expires at the end of the current fiscal year in June 2019. Fargas would not receive a raise from her $700,000 compensation package but would become eligible for an additional $100,000 in performance-based incentives rising to a total of $600,000 per season.

The reason is for recruiting purposes. But there better not be any buy out with this contract.

They’re trying to sneak it through when everyone’s in a good mood about football and not paying attention.
This contract extension is ridiculous IMO... arguably worse than the hire of O. At least there were some logical reasons to hire O. There is no logical reasons fo NF to receive an extension ... she shouldn’t even still have a job.
I hope someone on the board will put a stop to this nonsense.

So her base salary doesn’t increase and she gets an extension so recruits don’t think she will be fired next year. Why would a hone go play for a coach who only has a one or two year contract.
