College: anyone have friends who didn’t black out?

I wasn’t so blessed, but certainly remember people who didn’t suffer from it regardless of how much they drank. It’s not like it’s a scientific inevitability that one must black out if they drink too much, but let me hear your anecdotes. Anyone not a blacker outer?

I’ve gotten drunk enough to where I couldn’t function plenty of times, but I always remembered the next day. I honestly didn’t believe people really ‘blacked out’ for the longest time and just thought people said it to excuse themselves from doing really embarrassing shite while they were drunk.

I never have. I always throw up before I get to that point.

I’ve had times that I could barely stand or function; but never blacked out. Would have to drink an insane amount to black out, not sure if it’s even possible. Then again; I’m mostly Irish, so maybe there is something to genetics there.

I don’t understand the blacking out that people talk about. I’ve been drunk and high out of my mind, vomited all night, and I’ve always remembered mostly everything. Maybe things are a little blurry but I’ve never been to a location or spoken to a person and not recalled it.
