Reading a book by NDT,Neil Degrasse Tyson, and this is the opening sentence in the first chapter
quote:My mind got a 404 error
In the beginning, nearly fourteen billion years ago, all the space and all the matter and all the energy of the known universe was contained in a volume less than onetrillionth the size of the period that ends this sentence

What was the next sentence???

quote:This is written with a lot of conviction for something that happened 14 billion years ago.

Yes.
But what was that period in?
That’s what I demand to know.

There is no period at the end of the sentence

Is this the thread where all the elite Ot Physicists on here know more than an actual one?

bullshite
God created it all like 20000 years ago

That would have to be a really big period.

I don’t see a period

...unless somebody comes up with a theory we like better tomorrow, and then nevermind.

How the frick does he know that?

You realize that's just a theory right?
My theory is that space has always existed. That's something that is hard to understand, but over time, there became areas in which the environment allowed dust and gases to form stars and planets. And then planets like Earth, were in a perfect location in which the environment allowed for other things to grow from it.. Including living organisms,
My theory is just as good as any.

Isn’t science the observation of something happening? Has NDT seen this?

People who believe they are ignorant of nothing have neither looked for, nor stumbled upon, the boundary between what is known and unknown in the universe.
Sums up the OT...

welp, stopped reading right there...appropriately...at the beginning of a postulate tainted by temporal ontological speculation
