Why is camo so expensive?

You have to pay what seems to be at least $300 for a solid duck hunting jacket now a days and i just dont get it. All anyone needs down here is a camo rain jacket and a sweatshirt but somehow we are getting overly exploited as consumers to pay these outlandish prices.
Anyone have any preferences for where/ what they buy that wont break the bank? I use Rogers and Wing Supply a bunch but there has to be some better deals out there.

Maybe it’s just me, but out of all the things camo related. I can find justification in spending a bit more for something like a good jacket. 
I’m talking about a good jacket that’s actually water proof, not talking about drake stuff.

Also nobody said the jacket had to be camo. You could get away with a tan carhartt jacket if you wanted.

So if all you need is a camo rain jacket and a sweat shirt why are you spending $300 on a jacket? I haven't bought new camo is 10 years. My shite is faded and worn but I still kill as many deer as the "hip" guy who has to dress head to toe in the Mossy oak bottomland drake gear with his fashionable fleece vest or the 2018 version of realtree. You can still get a good set of bibs and a parka for $250 as a set if you shop around and that should last at least 10 years. No one in the south has to have KUIU or Sitka gear to hunt.

You can either buy cheap camo.. and replace every couple years.

Academy's Magellan camo is good stuff and reasonably priced...

Cabelas store brand used to be about the best. I’ve had some since the 70’s, no shrinkage or fade. No telling what BP will do to screw it up. You don’t Have to be in Drake or Sitka.
