He’ll do like Bryant. Die within a few months of retirement. That said, aside from beating LSU, you have to respect what he’s done. It’s incredible.

If you feel that way and aren't a bama fan, you're doing life wrong.

Bryant retired because he was dying. And he was dying because he drank like a fish, smoked unfiltered cigarettes, and ate junk his entire life. Saban is not like Bryant

He would be 76 or 77 by that point. No way he coaches 10 more years.

I mean he's already said he'll reassess his desire at age 75. He's not going anywhere.

Unless he has a sudden deterioration of his heath, I think he has a solid 10 years left at Bama.

This, but I kinda feel like 10 may be pushing it. The bigger question is who replaces him? I think everyone assumes when mama calls Dabo, he is coming home, but just think how many more Saban-ite coaches will be out there in 7-10 years to choose from.

I think that is more accurate.

Imo his main goal is to pass Bear Bryant in national titles at Alabama

He will stay until he wins enough titles that he can walk around Tuscaloosa naked with Bears ACTUAL houndstooth hat hanging from his inappropriately unwaveringly erect hog, and nobody says shite.

He will retire when Harvey Updike gets out of jail.

Let's say Saban coaches 8 more years. At that point, Dabo will have been at Clemson 19 years, and assuming he still has Clemson as one of the elite programs in 8 years, why would he leave 19 years into his career there, especially to just be another coach at Alabama instead of THE coach at Clemson? I just don't see it. Not like Clemson isn't paying him plenty either. Would be a very unique situation whatever the case.

I think the coach that replaces him is likely not on the radar yet.

Not often you get to see an all-time great. Very fortunate to get to watch Tom Osborne and his run and Saban in his.

Will be sad to see him retire. Not sure who the next “great” coach is.

You don't want to replace the legend. You want to replace the coach that replaces the legend.
