Time to get the politicians (yeech) to wipe them out
I hate when people say this shite "its all politics" or "if they would just get rid of the politics".
Politics is politics. Any type of organization has "politics". That is just part of getting things done. It's not always fair, but you have to "play the game" to some degree. If you want to make some change, I am sure there are ways you can get involved and

I don’t have any skin in the game but this is a huge story Years ago the LHSAA split the schools championships one for government schools and one for private / parochial schools. It reduces competition and is akin to everybody gets a participation trophy These are two examples.
That's because the catholic/private schools were able to recruit. They were taking all the good players from public schools then wanted to turn around and play the schools they were taking players from. Look at John Curtis. The campus is what? A few tin buildings with less than 200 students in HS? Yet no matter what class they were put in they would win state, they have state titles in all 5 classes.

but all these Catholic school are able to "recruit"?
You’re pretty naive if you think the Catholic Schools are the only ones that recruit.
Recruiting has been around since the invention of competitive sports.

Curtis is an anomaly. Much less about recruiting and much more about the program, system and development.
Hold kids back, work out from 3rd grade and run a system they master by the time they’ juniors and seniors and you’ll win a crapton of games.

Evangel used Curtis as their model.

Good lord. I don’t follow high school football very close but have always heard it’s full of scumbaggery.

LHSAA was anti-split and has been all along. It's the principles and athletic directors that make the actual rules. LHSAA just enforces them.

How can public schools recruit competitively when there no tuition to waive and residency requirements?

Time to destroy the LHSAA
Splitting the schools and now wielding thier power over high school kids. They’ve turned the greatest high school football system in the country to the worst. This is greatly affecting the players competitive nature and thus will hurt LSU football. Time to get the politicians (yeech) to wipe them out

I wouldn't pick a system that doesn't have a true state champion as a model to follow.
