I agree with all of this. The thing Trump brought to the table was consumer confidence. Those with money to invest knew to hold their money for a Republican. I know a few heads of banks across the country. They all say about the same thing: with Obama you got your ads nailed to the wall if something was wrong. With Trump you are just tasked to correct a problem. Here is good and bad to that

His policies allowed the FED to keep interest rates at zero so most investments went into equities so stock valves increased. Had to keep the false economy going at all cost... help out the fraud.

His policies made the Fed keep them low. They were that bad for business.

At rock bottom inflation, there's no way they could have started raising them without risking a recession.

Or you know the Fed was trying to keep liquidity in the markets after one of the worst global financial crisises in history.

I know you don’t want any actual answers, but the stimulus helped prevent a second Great Depression. It’s almost universally acclaimed by economists as a benefit to the US economy.

I believe someone referred to that as the ‘stimulus’.

I almost posted this, but checked my facts first and discovered that TARP was signed into law by GWB.

Obama still gets credit for not fricking it up though.

Not at all. All you had to do was ride it out. Personally, I bought more near the lows and profited quite nicely.

When things are going to hell is a great time to make money. If you panicked and sold everything, then yes you were an idiot.

If you are a believer in Keynesian economics.

A look back at some of the supposedly allocated funds.
