The QHSE demands are simply too great and the stakes are too high to risk using illegals on a job site
Right.....because piles of money never lead anyone to make bad decisions......especially in an extraction industry.
About the middle of last February I passed a 1/2 mile line of water and sand trucks pulled off the road between Loving, New Mexico and Pecos, Texas. There was a white DHS bus at the front of the pack and New Mexico and Texas state police, eddy county sheriffs deputies and CBP trucks and officers eerywhere.......every truck was empty. The DHS bus windows are tinted so there is no telling who might have been in there. I am positive now that I’ve read that it’s to risky to hire illegals in the oil patch from y’all and
also that illegals aren’t taking jobs from Americans, also from the posters in this thread, that all of those LEOs were looking for jumper cables because that lead truck needed a boost.
In the past 4 years I have seen New Mexico put up a temporary weigh station in several different locations around Eddy County. Each time the oil field truck traffic stops within an hour or so. There is ALWAYS CBP agents present at these things.....always....and usually a white DHS bus. I’m sure they are there to learn how to weigh trucks and read logbooks. This is New Mexico....not Texas....but I’m sure that these trucks know exactly where the state line is, especially on an oil field road that didn’t exist last week.
Finally I have a personal friend here who owns 12 oil field sand trucks. Makes loads of money. HE is undocumented.....as are ALL of his employees....unless he’s lying to me. He claims to have been deported several times in the last 30 years. Dude owns dozens of rental properties in and around Carlsbad and Loving, NM.......all of them leased by production companies and if there is an Anglo living in any of them or a word of English spoken in those houses I’ve never seen it. No chance none of those folks are illegal because it’s too risky. Nor are the other hundreds of similar situations across the Permian.
These aren’t fruit pickers wondering across the border desperate for work. These are people with much needed skills making $100k a year in an industry making money so fast they can’t count it. An industry ran by very wealthy, powerful people. No one is digging too deeply into credentials. And you guys, needing badly to hold the belief that illegal immigrants can’t be anything other than trouble, are convinced that there is NO CHANCE that all of that money and power isn’t capable of being corrupted because it’s too risky.

Mexicans
what's funny is that before trump, Mexican Americans and such were heavily red because they're all Catholic.
Trump alone has changed that.
so, again, you can blame Trump for that.

Do you have stats to back this up?

Obama wanted wide open borders to bring in more Republican Mexicans?

That's how powerful the propaganda is that's coming from the big cities, there.

The frick you talking about Trump got 28% of the Latino vote that’s the highest for GOP nominee since Bush.
If he eclipses 30% in 2020 and gets 10% of AA vote again. It’s most likely game over.

Your FOS if you think Mexicans put their faith before their government hand outs. Check out the popularity and politics of hero's like Henry B Gonzalez, Henry Cisneros, the Castro Bros, La Raza and many others. The MA block has been tied to dems every bit as much as the AA has been. Ironically the biggest issue that's made inroads for republicans (Trump) has been illegal immigration, the ones that put up with process and did it the right way are pissed at the ones skirting the law.

When? The 80s?
They're pissed at Trump because they are stopping their ppl. Problem with that is you can't do that. Too risky for our safety. It isn't just MS13, it's disease and other issues.
The Mexicans come here and if they frick up it's a slap and send back.

Are you a freaking idiot?
When was the last time the Republican nominee got a majority of the Hispanic or Latino vote?

You have no idea what you’re talking about. McCain and Romney got less than 30% of the Hispanic vote. Trump got more than both of them.

Austin makes California seem conservative. The media sucks regardless of which state they are in.

shouldnt the "drain the swamp" crowd appreciate a candidate who doesnt take money from PACs? thats what you want, isnt it? so why isnt Cruz doing that? super PACs are actually the ones paying for his negative ads attacking O'Rourke. is that good or bad?
And Hollywood and Big pocket Coastal Elite Dems are funding O'rourke. What's your point?
