Any of you guys have experience using these? I was talking with my uncle about his and he loves it. Thinking about getting a smaller one for smoking and some light grilling.

I've had mine for about four and a half years. Probably use it once or twice a week. Everything comes out great. I had to replace a couple of small parts during that time. Three year warranty. Received the parts within a few days. There's some sturdier ones out there. For the price I think it's a good brand.

Not really worth it for a grill, but they're great for smoking.

I find many people say these pellet smokers don’t produce enough smoke and will supplement with one of those smoking tubes.

Thank you guys for the input. Any other brands that would offer similar products that you would recommend?

I love mine. Easy to use, and so far everything I’ve done has turned out great. If you want more smoke flavor, buy a smoke tube

I have a Camp chef SG with a sear box. Awesome

I love my Traeger. Their customer service is a shite show though. When mine came from them it was smashed and they had no clue how to remedy the situation. Also they wait about a week to ship and then lie about it being sent. Next time I'll go with another brand.

I love mine and have had it for almost 5 years. I use it more than my ceramic grill. It has a downside though. It’s kind of a betweener lol. It’s not a smoker but it’s not grill. But it’s perfect for ribs and chicken.

I've had mine for 12.5 years. I discovered them almost exactly 13 years ago this week in north Alabama while evacuated from Katrina. I went back the following Easter weekend and got myself the Executive 125 which is no longer produced. This one was made here in the U.S. When they started being produced in China the metal used was reduced to the thinner stuff they use in them now.
I love mine and it's seen a lot of use. Still works fine though.
Traeger I believe was one of the first pellet cookers and now there are a lot of brands to choose from.
The real question is "How much do you really want to spend?" Check out Walmart I know they had some Camp Chef's on clearance not long ago.

I've had my traeger for about 6 months and I love it. I use my Weber kettle for grilling and the traeger for everything else.

I think I may have already asked you this before, but how are you liking the sear box on your Camp Chef?

Agreed. I had someone arguing that it's good for steaks. Sorry but I'll save my 900° searer on my grill for that.

The local guy I bought mine from traded a new one for one of yours that finally quit working. Forget why but just an fyi.

Fantastic. Works as intended.

Not having thick smoke every cook kids actually a good thing. If I want light smoke, I'll use a mild wood and it's perfect. But if I want a heavy smoke, I'll use pure hickory it mesquite pellets.
Adding the smoking tube can be good. It just depends on your taste. If you like heavy smoke flavor like a stick burner, adding the smoking tube adds another layer of dummy proofing. I'm over waking up every few hours to check the temp. Good pellets and a smoking tube makes as a good as any BBQ I've eaten.

In what way does it fall short as a grill?
Also, as far as fuel costs, is it comparable to propane? I know how much it costs per pound, but not how long a pound will last.

Yeah, mine needs an overhaul. Needs a new piece welded on it to hold the diffuser and a good sandblasting and painting/powder coating.

Green mountain. And if you need more get a tube for 15 bucks. I rarely do. Customer service is unreal. Ive emailed them at least 4 times and gotten quick thorough responses in 24 hours every time. Had some gaps in my lid, they sent me an entirely new no one no questions asked. I think everything is US based and i heard that traeger moved production to China recently which affected their quality.
