Interesting day on the Rant

I knew that some tensions would be high, but not what I expected.
I fall on the negative side of Orgeron. I expected others like me to lash out and be upset with parts of the game that were less than optimal, such as lack of discipline with timeouts or second half playcalling or red zone playcalling.
Not so much.
Instead, we see the Orgeron loyalists from day 1 kicking and screaming and berating anyone who dared to question the man and his methods. Kicking anything and everyone who could be down in the slighest.
Like I said, it is surprising. Not totally unexpected by this group of heathens, but surprising.

I'm anti-O, and there were parts of the game I was unimpressed with, but also realize that was the first game of the season against a top 10 team. It's gonna be less than perfect.
Like everyone else I know that is anti-O bit pro LSU, we are absolutely not going to hope for the downfall of the program so that we could say I told you so.

I'm not an O fan but I'm excited that we won. It wasn't perfect but Miami is a good team. I'll withhold my judgment until later in the season. It was a big win. I still think this is a 8-4 team.

its surprising to see people who like our coach defending a man who just beat the number 8 team in the country as an underdog, and beat them handily? That surprises you? People bitching about how we won surprises me. It was our first game against a good opponent and some are still complaining. We’ll make big progresss from game 1 to game 2 (as anyone that knows the game will tell you) but this was a well prepared team. Kudos to O.

They are way too confrontational about it. I fall on your side also. They will hate us for wanting only the best. I'm still not confident at all with Ed but hope for the best. But you can be sure that if things go south, they will disappear. We aren't happy with the choice of head coach but at least we are still here. Will they stand by LSU if he fails? Im afraid most won't. I do respect the loyalists that actually care about LSU and not just because the coach is "one of them".

It’s like the haters are trying to gaslight the whole board. Just because you keep repeating the lie that you all thought we would win doesn’t make it true. All we heard all summer from the haters was how bad this year would be. Don’t act like you are all optimistic now that we won.

I said it a million times in the offseason - O has a great opportunity to shut me, and others like me, up with this schedule.
