Lakers are buying out his contract, do y’all think we should go after him? Good veteran player at the 3 who will bring some good defense as well

It's really more of a why the frick not, especially if he's willing to do a vet min deal.

I actually would be on board with this at the minimum. If he has anything left in the tank he could be worth he risk. Low investment / high return or however Crewz terms it lol

If he would sign for the vet minimum, it's a no-brainer. Would he sign for the minimum though? That's the real question.

I dont think he can keep up with Gentry’s fast paced offense

If he is healthy I would offer him the starting spot.

No way he comes here with Danny Ferry having a high position within our organization.

Luol Deng has a little African in him

I think that could be smoothed over as Ferry is only an advisor, but who knows.

You are right in that could be an issue going after Deng to add to the team.

Deng hasn't been a 3 in four years.

Moore has never been a SF.

Deng doesn't shoot the 3 well enough to help the Pelicans.

I don't get you guys sometimes. You always want the under appreciated, young guy with upside, but the second someone like Deng comes along, you want him too.

Give Blueitt, the two William's, etc some reps. The SF position will be solved in time. Be patient. No need for the old man

I am just a fan of veteran players to fill the end of the bench from a leadership, professionalism standpoint. Troy Williams probably has more talent today I give you.

He's a least worth a tryout. He was hurt and the Lakers didn't want to play him last year for the tank iirc.

I dont mind giving the young guys some run but we're trying to make the WCF in the next two years.

I can only speak for myself, but the lack of a real life SF has gone on for so long I'm on board with whatever. Kind of like when you're in a slump and the 4 starts to look like a 7.

Losing Rondo hurts more than any lack of a small forward.

Pelicans can be sneaky good with one more player.

With Davis, Okafor, Mirotec, and Randle the Pelicans have the best front court in the NBA.

Backcourt is average at best even with one of the best two way guards in Holiday. Just dont like Payton, Clark, and Liggins as the rest of the top 4 guards.

Pelicans missed an opportunity at a great season by not trading Hill or Moore for Schroeder.

This is a discussion about the pels small forward situation. Had it been about the overall state of the pels after those off-season I'm sure Rondo would have been mentioned. Also, Frank Jackson will be a part of the guard rotation. They recently waived DeAndre Liggins so you're concerns with him are moot. Finally, Schroeder? Really? Moore is better than Schroeder before you even begin to factor how much ATL was over him and his overall reputation for being an arse.
